Made this cake for a first birthday.... fondant covered, Elmo was combo of modeling chocolate/RKT then texture added from RI. I had big plans but after being up all night...those little polka dots looked more and more appealing!! LOL :)
This is my version of the tv dinner cupcakes. This was also for the dessert auction...and I think 12 of them sold for $70! These were really fun to make. They were chocolate and all the peas, carrots, bones and butter are fondant. This was inspired by sue_dye and other fellow cc'ers! Thanks everyone!
SOLD FOR $330!!! This was a donation for my friend's school dessert auction yesterday. It was fun to make. I started it yesterday morning so it is not as nice as I would have like because I had to have it done by 5...but it turned out ok. :) I also made some tv dinner cupcakes that I will post. I go so long in between cakes that I forget everything I figured out the time before...know how that goes??

Daughter & I spent the morning decorating some snowman cookies! Fun Fun Fun!
Did an assortment of other cookies for this plate. Again, my daughter did most the detail work on these.
We did a bunch of holly leaves and a couple white different round designs by my 12 year old daughter!
Did a few different types of mittens and santa hats.
We colored these snowflakes a soft blueand then used blue pearl luster dust on them. My 12 year old daughter did all the detail work on them!
Well..this was trial and error night. :) We actually colored the sugar cookie dough before we baked them. I was so excited because I painted karo syrup onto the little colored dots and it makes them look like little glass balls...they're so cool and shiny! The pic makes it hard to tell...but we're having fun!!
Well...here it is. I ended up using silk flowers..and I don't think it turned out too bad. I do need to paint in the cracks of the barrels, so it's not blue inside there. :) I really like how the barrel turned out, but don't like my fence around the bottom. It needs flowers or something, but I'm too tired to do it. :) Thanks to Moydear (I believe) for the idea!
This was a smaller cake for Lydia to "smash". I purchased the number 1 from the store but it didn't match...so I piped royal onto it and let it dry. It worked out really well!! She loved it!

Here's the final product! I wish that I would've colored the white chocolate a little with ivory..but didn't have time! I'm also loading a pic of the meatballs...I am SO excited about how they turned out. The noodles were trial and error...but I think they turned out ok. I'm having a recipe club dinner here tonight and the theme is pasta...hope they get a kick out of this! :)
I have a little handi-capped gal that lives with me and she wanted me to make a cake for her mom's birthday today. So...last night I started this and this is what I ended up with. I ran out of time...or I would've filled in the empty spots above some of the roses with BC leaves or made more fondant leaves and tendrils. Oh well. He stood and waited for me to place all the roses...no pressure, right? They'll probably laugh when they take the top off because it seems "butchered" under there...lol. :)
This was a fun little cake. I had a bunch of help from the birthday girl. She was turning 11. She and her mom had a lot of fun helping decorate the cake! I wished the icing would've been smooth like TamiAZ. :) But...I guess the birthday girl was happy...so I am happy too. :) I'm uploading pics of my monkeys too.
Just wanted to share the first cake order my sis(frostingfreak) and I have gotten. We only had 1 day notice and this is what we came up with! It was a learning experience...you definitely have to let things dry! She was on a balance beam...but not for long! :lol: So...I made a colored mat for her to sit on. The things requested were gymnastics, her name and the colors. It was really quite festive for a 13 year olds b-day. (hence, the 1 and 3 she's holding) I hope she liked it!
I FORGOT to put my balloons and party sign by the bottom arrow! Waaaaahhhhhh.... It was supposed to lead the way to the party...oh well. These flowers did have vines...this was a pre-vine pic! :)
Here's my little gingey! I have to say that I have a new found respect for those who make things like this out of clay or paste or whatever! It's hard!! Things kept sticking to me..I couldn't get them on right...etc. ARGH! She's not dry yet...but I wanted to try something new! She's cute, huh?? :)
I FINALLY finished this cake after hours and hours! :) I hope you enjoy seeing the end result of all the scattered pieces you've seen! It was SOOOO fun!!! The only things I don't like are the seed packets and the grass...I wish the grass was darker! Oh well....

First attempt at a bubblegum rose...you can eat these!! :) I am going to try a different method..because mine does NOT look like hers on the bottom! Yikes!
