8O I have NO idea of how much time it took! Honestly...I worked for a couple of days off and on..well, maybe a week. The little figures took the most time...and then I painted some of them when they were on the cake. BUT, if you count how long it's gonna take to get everything in my kitchen/dining room clean...whoooeeee! Next time I'll try to make note of my time. Although that might be depressing if I were going to sell something like this! It's a good thing I love to do it!

This looks like something you see out of a Childrens Story Book... Amazing, Amazing, Amazing! You have so much talent... Love it, Love it!! It's just unbelievable to see what you did out of the first pictures you posted and the end results... Beautifully put together, true eye for detail! Congrats!!!

I used brown fondant for the stump and then thinned brown gel paste w/vodka and used a large brush and just kept brushing layers of brown on each other. It ended up looking like this! The circle layers seen on top were made with the wood graining tool (in my photos). I used the little teeth part and spun the cake with the teeth on it. Once that dried...I applied a light coat of the brown paint! Hope this makes sense!! :)
