Monogram Wedding Cake
Two tier, 4-layers each, buttercream frosting. White on white scroll work on sides, red monogram L medallion on top. Roses are gumpaste with buttercream leaves.
Sesame Street Cake
Customer wanted 6 different characters drawn on a 1/4 sheet. Managed to squeeze them all in--not easy. Characters freehanded in buttercream.
Wine Bottle Cookie
Made 60 of these for a 70th birthday party. Gold luster dust around label and on cork foil.
Football Graduation Cake
A customer came in with a picture she found on the internet with a similar cake, so the idea is not mine. Football is RKT covered with fondant. Grass individually piped with #3 tip (cross-eyed!). I cut out the letters and numbers on the jersey from a template I designed, but the #s on the side are cut out with cookie cutters (I'm not crazy about them, but it was a time saver). The cake was for a high school grad party and the date on the side is the date of the recipient's first college football game.
Baby Boy Shower Cake With Lamb
I made this lamb before but the original idea is from the Pink Cake Box.
Didn't know if I should put this under cupcakes or graduation cakes. Lemon cupcakes with buttercream frosting and colored chocolate graduation caps made from a square disc mold and a peanut butter cup mold. Tassels are piped buttercream
Girls On The Run Cake
Made for an elementary school group of runners. Sneaker freehanded in buttercream.
Customer wanted a tiara shaped sheet cake with a tiara on it. Hard to see the tiara from the angle the picture was taken from--looks like a horseshoe!
This was hard to do: combine a gymnastics theme and a baseball theme in the same cake, and each child wanted a different flavor cake and frosting. Would have been easier to do two 1/4 sheets than one 1/2 sheet. I separated the two with a border of baseballs and flowers down the center. The figures are free-handed in buttercream.
Bridal Shower Invitation
Made to look like the invitation. All buttercream with silhouette free-handed
This is the second clock cake I've made. I don't know what it is with these people who walk into my bakery with a photo of a clock and want it on a cake--weird. All buttercream with free-handed design.
