Elmo 1St Birthday
A girly version of the Elmo cake I have done before, originally inspired by a KimAZ cake. 12x18 sheet and shaped Elmo smash cake from a 6" round; all BC. The base of the sheet cake and the border was airbrushed with pearl shimmer (although it's hard to see in the photo). Colors were inspired by the invitations the birthday girl's mom made. Thanks for looking!

Simple Tree
Simple cake for my husband's work holiday luncheon tomorrow. Of course, he could have gotten something more elaborate had he given me more than a day's notice!! In any case, this is a 10" cake, iced in BC with stenciled tree and fondant snowflakes. Sanding sugar and mystical dust in snow white complete the wintery effect. Thanks for looking!

Christmas Nativity
Thank you to texanlostlover for the inspiration for this cake. Although I loved the dramatic tiered effect of that cake, I needed a much smaller cake, so I combined the elements onto the single tier. 10" round cake, iced in BC with fondant cut-outs. Sparkle is from splattered luster dust. Thanks for looking!

Taylor's Wicked Birthday
One of my coworkers wanted a birthday cake for her daughter that was inspired by Wicked the Musical, but not obvious, such as the playbill cover. I love Aldoska's two-toned cakes, so I drew inspiration from there and the colors for Wicked and created this. I was afraid that it was a little too abstract and not enough Wicked, but she loved it! 8" round, BC iced and scrolls, fondant leaves and flowers. Thanks for looking!

Hansel & Gretel Go Rock N Roll
That was the theme for my daughters' cast party for their dance company's production of Hansel & Gretel this year. Greatly inspired by sugarsiren's cake on flickr. 6" and 10" cakes, BC iced with fondant decor. This was great fun to make and was a huge hit with the dancers! Thanks for looking!

Halloween Birthday
Combo birthday cake for my niece (14) and nephew (11). I usually make them 2 separate cakes, but my niece wanted a black cat this year and her brother loves Halloween too, so we went with one cake. 8" and 6" rounds, all BC with Lucks edible image sheets on sides. Image on top is a FBCT with some piping on top to give it a little dimension. Thanks for looking!

60Th M&m's
Inspired by mmg1306's m&m cake. This was done for a very good coworker friend that absolutely loves m&ms. Each number was carved from a 9x13 cake. I used only the four colors because I wanted it to look fall-like. The only mistake I made was putting the cake in the fridge; as it came to room temp, condensation formed on the m&ms and many of them started losing their color. I was sooooo frustrated, but my friend loved it anyway. Thanks for looking!

Smurfs
Simple 9x13 cake for my daughter's 9th birthday. She wanted Smurfette on top with some of the other Smurfs around the sides. When I described doing Smurfette in layered fondant on top, she said no, she wanted a buttercream transfer. Nothing like knowing what she wants! :-) So, she got it. All BC with Smurf toys on the sides. Thanks for looking!

Lorene's Retirement
12x18 cake done for a retiring coworker. This picture isn't very good, as the colors were softer and prettier in person; but it's all I have. All BC with stenciled designed for background. Although the colors and stencil design are different, this was largely inspired by KHalstead's beautiful "Spring" cake. Thank you for the inspiration! Thanks for looking!
