Bulls & Suns
These were done for a parent at my school whose youngest of three is leaving for the middle school; she wanted to say thank you and goodbye to the staff. She picked a basketball theme because her son is a huge Bulls fan and my principal is a Suns fan. All 3 are 10" cakes iced in BC. Bulls and Suns logos are FBCT. She was really pleased with them, and since two of her children had been in my class over the years, I was really happy to do these cakes for her! Thanks for looking!

Neon Rainbow Stripes
For my daughter's 12th birthday. Designed by her to match the partyware she had picked out. 10" square and 6" round. Bottom "tier" is just a wrapped cake dummy to give it a bigger base. BC with fondant stripes and zebra print. Guitar and butterflies were made from Mexican sugarpaste. Cake was rainbow too, but I don't have a picture of that yet. Thanks for looking!

Chicago Bears
Simple Bears cake for my grandpa's birthday. 8" round, all BC. I was pleased that the blue darkened over night, but I do not like that it is a little streaky. I thought I had mixed the color into the icing thoroughly (it looked solid at first), so if anyone has ideas why this happened, I would appreciate hearing them. As always, thanks for looking!

Student Teacher Graduation
This was for my student teacher's last day with our class. 11x15 sheet cake iced in bc with fondant top. I cut and designed the top by itself and brought it in with edible ink markers for the kids to sign in advance. They thought it was the coolest thing ever --so easy to impress 4th graders :-) My student teacher was completely surprised, so they were even happier! Thanks for looking!

Winter Wonderland
I donated this to my PTO's Winter Wonderland bake sale. The person that bought it was taking it to her mom in a nursing home so that it could be shared. :-) 6" gingerbread cake with vanilla bc and 8" chocolate fudge cake with peppermint bc. Iced in BC with fondant decorations. Disco dust was sprinkled all over to give a shimmery effect that's hard to see in the picture. Thanks for looking!

Hansel & Gretel
This was made for my daughters' dance company's cast party. They do an annual performance of Hansel & Gretel, but this was the first year I made a cake for them. I'm happy to say it was a huge hit with all the dancers! I wish the pictures were better, but my camera has not been working well. 6" and 10" squares iced in BC with fondant decor. Hansel & Gretel and the witch are images on fondant. As always, thanks for looking!

Halloween Birthday
Simple cake for a friend's daughter's birthday. 8" round, all BC; pumpkin is a FBCT. Actually, the whole top is a FBCT -- I always have trouble getting the transfer to sit flat enough, so this time, I filled in a circle nearly the size of the cake. That edge is hidden by the border, so I finally got a smooth transfer!! :-) As always, thanks for looking!

Dylan's 3Rd Birthday
My nephew wanted Cars, specifically Lightning McQueen, even though I made him a Cars cake last year too. I guess when you're three, you don't worry about repeating a theme! :-) Needless to say, he loved it! 9x13 double layer cake, all BC -- car is FBCT. As always, thanks for looking!

Abby's Artwork
My daughter's 8th birthday cake completed with her artwork. I love the fact that she and I were able to do this cake together! 10" square covered in fondant. The butterfly was 'painted' by her with luster & petal dusts. She also made the plaques on the sides with gel colors and edible ink markers. I made the one on the front of the cake for her. Thanks for looking!
