Fireman Sam Cupcake Display
Even a small order of 2 dozen cupcakes can make a lovely display, when topped with a 6" top cake! It took 3 attempts to get flames I was happy with!! If they'd been bigger or more 'intense' looking, it could have looked like he was on some sort of sacrificial pyre! LOL!! The customer also sent me a photo of her son in his toy fireman's helmet that she wanted me to use as some of the edible images on the 2 dozen cupcakes - so I doctored the background so it was the same as the others!! The figure on top is a little plastic toy the customer provided.

Snooker Table Cake
For my brother's surprise 40th birthday party tomorrow night! 12" x 7" rich fruit cake (although had to make up some height using cake drums!) Covered with marzipan and sugarpaste and modelling paste details. Totally inspired by a **fabulous** cake by Donna Makes Cakes! Not entirely happy with the photographs, so will try to take some more.

Minnie Mouse Cupcakes
I can't believe I FORGOT to take a photo before I delivered these!! However, I mentioned this to the customer, who said she'd take some and email - which she kindly did. I really like this shot... the main cupcake almost seems to be lit up. The order was for 6 dozen cupcakes (vanilla) which I fill with buttercream (vanilla) and then top with a sugarpaste disc and edible image.

Kfc / Arsenal Fc Cake
Customer ordered this for her son's 18th birthday. His favourite football (soccer) team is Arsenal. And he has a part-time job at KFC, which he hates, so she thought it would be funny to include something to do with that, too. 8" vanilla sponge filled with jam and vanilla buttercream, covered with marzipan and sugarpaste. Arsenal logo is an edible image (due to other commitments this weekend, I didn't have time to do a hand-cut logo). The chicken is Rice Krispie treats, mushed into shape, then brushed with piping gel and rolled in finely crushed ginger biscuits. The fries are cookies in a modelling paste bag with edible image for the logo. My friend's husband had the idea to do the inscription on a napkin (I couldn't think how to best do it, as it didn't look right on the board, as it was off-centre, due to the chicken!)

Wedding Cake 'michelle'
Unfortunately, the florist hadn't arrived at the venue when we delivered the cake, so the only photos I have are without the fresh flower topper. :o( I'm sure the bride will get a good pic and let me have a copy, though! 6" lemon sponge with lemon curd buttercream; 9" rich fruit cake; 12" lemon sponge with lemon curd buttercream. All covered with marzipan and sugarpaste and decorated with brush embroidery roses, painted with pearl lustre.

Treasure Chest Cake
This is the main cake for a 'Pirates in the Jungle' themed birthday (have also uploaded some cookies and cupcakes, separately). 10"x8" vanilla sponge filled with jam and buttercream, covered with marzipan and a chocolate paste/sugarpaste mix, then painted brown to enhance the colour.... The lid is polystyrene which I had made to the size and shape I needed. Coins are modelling paste, painted with gold/silver lustre which I mixed with glaze and alcohol. The gems are melted clear mints, to which I added some colouring, then set in a gem mould. The board is covered with sandy coloured sugarpaste, which I brushed with piping gel and then sprinkled soft brown sugar over.

Japanese Tattoo Cake
The customer ordered this cake for her boyfriend, who owns a tattoo shop. He was given a Japanese name by a Japanese tattoo master. A friend of theirs (also Japanese - but neither the customer or the boyfriend are) who works in the tattoo shop is staying with them, so she asked him to draw a design. He drew the outline and then she came round and, armed with my boys' colouring pencils, we decided on colours. I have to say that I haven't enjoyed doing a cake this much for a long, long time. I know it's very simple, but I LOVE how it's come out.

Butterflies Blossoms & Bows
The customer was very specific about what they wanted on this cake: edible ribbon and bow, with polka dots, butterflies and blossoms! I personally would have left the polka dots off, but they wanted it all on there!! Vanilla sponge, coloured pink, with strawberry buttercream filling. I delivered it to the party planner perfectly safely... but unfortunately I found out there was some sort of 'incident' en route to the party in central London... the cake didn't make it in one piece. :o(
