Black And White Wedding Cupcake Tower
Groom's father built the stand. Black satin ribbon around each base. Just white cake with white buttercream and black edible glitter (thanks to Halloween decorations being out). The bride ordered 2 edible pictures for the top tier. It doesn't show, but I also made a giant cupcake for the bride and groom to cut. The 175+ royal icing roses took FOREVER, especially because I tipped them with a black food coloring marker after they hardened. The leaves are royal icing painted with silver dust.

Sombrero Cake
This is a birthday cake for a party at a Mexican restaurant. It's basically from the Wilton book (2003, I think). The sombrero brim is made with fondant mixed with gumtex. The brim dried inside a big bowl. The rest of the hat is fondant over rice krispie treats. The chili's and cacti are fondant, made ahead of time.

Stacked Nascar Birthday Cake
This cake was for a 30th birthday party. They didn't want it to end up "juvenile," tricky with the theme. When I delivered it, I put on a few of their decorations. When I get that picture, I'll replace this one with that. The cake is covered with rolled fondant. The bow is rolled fondant mixed with gum tex. I made the name out of fondant as well.

Square Birthday Cake
This cake was for a garden-themed surprise birthday. The cake is white with fresh strawberries and covered with Pastry Pride. The party hostess gave me the little plaques (actually magnets) to put on the cake. I wanted to put some fresh flowers on it, so I coated a small bowl with yellow candy melts, let it harden in the fridge, then filled it with floral foam. I poured in some water then poked in the flowers.

Kate's Graduation Cake
Bottom tier is chocolate cake. Top tier is funfetti. Buttercream filling and all around. I smoothed the icing with a paper towel. The hat is fondant mixed with gum tex and left to dry. The fondant tassel was made with a PlayDoh Fun Factory. I piped in black buttercream tassels.

8Th Grade Promotion Pirate Cupcake Cake
This is my first frozen buttercream transfer. I made 250 cupcakes for an 8th grade promotion; the theme was pirate/treasure. This was my first attempt at a frozen buttercream transfer. It was fun! A big thanks goes to the "How To" demonstration on this website!!

Round Fondant Wedding Cake
Just did this cake last week. The bride loves sunflowers, so I used silk sunflowers. The tealish ribbon is real satin ribbon--same color as on the bride's dress! Bottom and top tiers are chocolate with mocha ganache. The middle tier is vanilla with strawberry filling. All covered with white buttercream then rolled fondant that I order from Choco Pan. Excellent fondant--easy to work with and a great white chocolate flavor!!!!

Ocean Wave Cake
This was for a friend's daughter's Rainbow Girls Worthy Advisor induction ceremony cake. The wave was dried rolled fondant mixed with gumtex then covered with royal icing and painted to match the Pastry Pride. Thanks to the advice some of you gave me regarding the wave! The forum on this website is awesome!!!! :)

Scallop And Round With Roses
Just did this today for a friend's daughter. It's like the one in Wilton's wedding book; however, the bride wanted Pastry Pride instead of fondant. With running short on time, and my lack of gumpaste ability, I ordered the roses from Cakes by Sam and made the white leaves myself. The cake is yellow with raspberry filling, covered with Pastry Pride, detailing in buttercream.
