Wizards Of Waverly Place Spellbook Cake

A birthday cake for my 6 year old son. He requested "Alex, Justin, and Max sitting on the cake", so I did the best I could! Thank goodness for that class I took with Lorraine McKay! The cake is a 12x18 cut in half and stacked. All fondant decorations.

Re-Created Wedding Cake

I didn't like my original wedding cake (made by a bakery, long before I ever made cakes), so for my 15th anniversary, I recreated it the way I had hoped it would be. It's a 6", 8", 10" on Wilton crystal-look 9" pillars, all buttercream. Thanks for looking. :)

Bride and Groom figurines from Lorraine McKay's class in Austin. These ended up looking more old-fashioned than I planned, partly due to my messing up the back of the bride so bad that the only thing left to do was cover her with a shawl!

Ashley's 1St Birthday

First birthday cake for my only daughter! The car trip to the party destination was so far, and it was about 110 degrees outside, that the border around the top tier melted. Boohoo! But overall, really happy with it. :)

Preemie's Fire Trucks

I was booked for this shower months in advance. Two weeks before the shower I called my customer to confirm, and she said that the baby had already been born at only 27 weeks gestation. She was still throwing the shower because the baby was doing well and expected to make it, and she thought the parents would need a break from the NICU. Both parents are volunteer firefighters, so it was always going to be a fire truck themed cake, but we added another element of one calendar date with the baby's due date, and one with his real birthday, and lots of other scattered calendar pages around the top tier. I hope the parents love it!

Pillow Cake

This is a cake I did in a class with Yvette Humbert. Cakes are 10" and 8" carved, covered in fondant. All decorations are half gumpaste/half fondant.

A birthday cake for a 12 year old girl. Bottom tier buttercream with the grass tip. Middle tier fondant. Hula girl is a doll pick and buttercream with grass tip. Fondant flowers. Sand is turbinado sugar. Inspired by a cake posted by lynsey. Thanks for looking!

Welcome Baby

A literal "birthday cake" for a mom in labor in the hospital with a baby of unknown gender. On top is a teddy bear alongside a baby bag, all packed and ready to go. Fun! 8", all fondant. French vanilla with vanilla buttercream and fresh strawberries.

Rkt Elmo

This is a 9" square fondant cake with fondant accents. Elmo is rice krispie treats brushed with red candy melts, and fondant eyes and nose. The cupcake is shaped green gumpaste for the paper, chocolate clay for the "cake", and real buttercream swirl. This design was unabashedly "borrowed" from the wonderful diamondsonblackvelvet13.

Cherry Blossom And Drapes

4-tier, 15", 12", 9", 6", with molded chocolate and gumpaste cherry blososm branches, and fondant/gumpaste drapes dusted with super pearl. Used SPS for the first time, drove it 70 miles, it did not budge! And it was heavy!!
