Cake Crumb Muffins

A breakfast idea using leftover cake.

Cake Crumb Muffins


  • 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 2 TBSP. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 TBSP. baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 cups cake crumbs


  1. Mix together in order given. Spray a muffin tin. Bake at 375 degrees, 25 minutes or until done.
  2. * If you don’t have enough cake crumbs, you can substitute bread crumbs.

I just made these to try to use up those famous cake crumbs I always have. They were ok...pretty dense and I could taste the egg more than anything. Definitely would add more sugar next time and some sort of flavoring.
