Jumbo Gourmet Chocolate Chip Cookies

This cookie recipe is the BEST chocolate chip cookie you will EVER eat! Every time I make these I’m ask for the recipe. I am famous for these fabulous cookies. You will want to add this recipe to your family favorites. ENJOY!!!


  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
  • 1 cup pecans


  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Beat in vanilla.
    Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt, gradually add to the creamed mixture.
    Stir in the coconut, chips, and nuts.
    Refrigerate for 15 mins. Use ice cream scoop to drop cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheet.
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 13 mins (no more)

I Just wanted to report back that I tried this recipe and it was devine! Jumbo cookies indeed. Very tastey too. I choose to split the batch in half and I made half the cookies with Ghirardelli's Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips and Crushed Coconut (my person favorite), and the other half with White Chocolate Chips and Macadamia Nuts (My dads favorite). Thanks for sharing I will be adding this one to my go-to-recipes for sure!
