This recipe was given to me by my Mother who was at one time a professional cake decorator and has been decorating for well over 50 years.
Ingredients
2 lb pkg. Powerdered Sugar
1 1/4 C. Shortening
1 t. White Vanilla
1/2 t. Rum Flavoring
1/2 t. Pineapple Flavoring
1/2 t. Butter Flavoring
water (about 1/4 cup)
Instructions
Mix sugar and shortening, add flavorings and 1/4 cup water. Continue adding water a few drops at a time until frosting is light and fluffy and easy to sprad. Beath thoroughly.
If heavier frosting is needed ofr decorating add powdered sugar a small amount at a time.
I tried this tonight but it has too strong of a rum flavor for me. I even made another batch with only the vanilla to cut it down, but it's still too strong. Is there anything else I can do to save it?

I have looked everywhere in my town for pineapple flavoring and I can not find it anywhere. Is there something that could be substituted for this?
