Course 4 / Fondand And Gum Paste on Cake Central

I didn't like any of the choices in the book, so I took some creative liberties. The c ake is buttercream, fence is fondant used with a lattice circle for pie crusts. Flowers and butterflies are gum paste. Thanks for looking!

WOW! 8O I just love this cake! I agree, I didn't like any of the Wilton Cakes either (I did something a little similar in one of my classes!) I just LOVE the lattice!!! (and I love making pies, why didn't I think of that?!) great job!!!

I love the colors and I have never heard of a lattice pic crust cutter although I have seen crusts like that. Not to fond of the butterflies but the overall design is very nice.

very nice cake b/c i'm with you in the c4 book the designs were so boring so my daisy cake was just so sad eventhough it matched the books design. i wish i could've thought something so springtime up good job

Well this is one of the most beautiful course 4 cakes I have seen.....I love it....You should be extra proud of making up your own idea. I agree the cakes in the book are not all that.....This is wonderful......Going to add it to my fav list so I can make one like it soon.

your cake turned out wonderful. all the little details are so pretty and well done. the colors are great and i applaud your use of the lattice pie crust cutter for the fondant. absolutely clever.
