Fairy Toadstool
This is from Debbie Brown's 50 Easy Party Cakes. I made a few small structural and design changes. The fairies were very fun to make. I did not like putting the fondant on the mushroom cap, though it worked anyway. Overall, I had a lot of fun with this design. It is for a 1st Birthday party today, the mom picked this from the book.
Oh my word!! this is such a beautiful cake......

This is fabulous, so pretty. I have this book too... what changes did you make and why? (would like to attempt this myself one day and would be interested in your experiences with it) TIA
I love the book, you've done a brilliant job on it!
If I didn't like you already I'd have to bash you for being so darned talented! Awesome cake as you always do them! :D
Grannysmith: In the book she doesnt dowel the cake or put a board underneath the top cake. I just didnt feel good about that. So it is doweled, center doweled. I also used a wondermold instead of a bowl to bake.
this is absolutley amazing......I LOVE it!!!!!
That is really beuatiful!
