I really think this is one of my favorite cakes ever on this site.
WOW! 8O It looks perfect.
I love the colors. Your work is beautiful. Why fake cakes?
did fake so that I can use it in the parade...also thinking of entering it in the fair. Plus, there weren't going to be that many ppl for that much cake...just made 2 quarter sheets and it was enough for all
Wow! Very fancy! It's beautiful - your hard work shows!
I really love it!!! Did you come up with the designs all on your own? Very very creative. I'm jealous!!!
What a wonderful looking cake.
The top tier was pretty much what I came up with on my own. The 2nd tier was similar to a cake in the wilton bridal cakes book and the bottom one came from another wilton wedding cake book. The 3rd tier was one I did because I just wanted to try out the fondant swags and thought it'd look good with the bottom tier.
Oh, so elaborate! Thank you for sharing your talent!!
I did the bottom pleats by cutting out rectangles of fondant and then folding and placing around the cake. I used a dowel to pick them up from the counter so they'd fold straight an only a third of the way from the edge, not in half. Thanks again for all the comments. I'm thrilled at all the approval :)
Oh what a gorgeous cakes!!!!
wow that is absolutely gorgeous!
This is amazing!! I love all of the detail work and I am sure they appreciated (or hope they did) all the hard work you put into this one!!! Absolutely stunning.....The color is a eye popper!!

You have inspired me for my mother's 80th Birthday Cake. May I use some of your techniques? I would love to know how you made the crown.
I've always thought this cake is sooo beautiful, don't know why I never thought to comment?! Just love the design and color scheme, and all of your fondant work is mind-boggling. LOVE that pleated bottom.
