M&m Birthday Cake
This is my version of Jellygirl's M&M cake. I made these for my husband's Mom and Aunt who are identical twins. They are chocoholics and we always catch them picking all the M&M's out of Costco trail mix so I thought this would be perfect. Yellow the Peanut M&M is "Darn Good Chocolate Cake" with peanut butter frosting. Red the plain M&M is the same cake w/o the filling. Both are covered in bc w/mmf accents. Adorable! I'm impressed if that is buttercream...how in the world did you get the bottom edge so clean and crisp!
SueB - yes the are covered in buttercream. I iced them on cake boards and then moved them to that bigger boards and smoothed out the sides with a viva paper towel.
I'm an identical twin and my sister and I love M&M's!!! I love the peanut filled and my sister loves the plain one.The buttercream is so smooth. Great job on the cakes! I really like this it.
