Thank you. This was a fun cake to make, and the first of three ducks that I've made now. The base of this one was just a 13x9 sheet cake. The only supports were two dowel rods through the duck to be sure he stayed up. The wings were done with the same tip as the stars (think it was 18). The eyes and beak are all buttercream smoothed with cornstarch. Give one a try! They're fun!!

This is soooo cute! I love it and can't wait until I have the skills to make one. Since I am just starting to make cakes, may I ask you a few questions? How many cakes did this take? Did you use something to support teh duck on the base? How did you ge the wings to flare out (is that just the tip you used), are the eyes and beak fondant? Again - excellent!
