Jason's Graduation Cake
My son's college graduation cake. Dark and decadent chocolate cake with buttercream under the chocolate clay for two books and 50/50 fondant and chocolate clay for the bottom big book. It was challenging trying to get the "Julius Ceasar" book to look antique without tearing the chocolate clay completely. I wanted just a ragged look and tried stretching the chocolate clay in order for it to tear in places. Might have over done it a bit, but it definitely looks old and abused.
