Devils food cake with chocolate orange buttercream, raspberry filling and fondant figures/accesories. This was for my sons 2nd birthday and his new favourite thing is the backyardigans. This cake was based on his favourite episode (of which all the songs are lodged in my head!!). The cake was stacked and carved down on a gradient and roughly covered to look like a red dusty landscape. The horse was standing but hefty tyrone made its legs buckle so we just improvised. Good fun to do!
