For my "cake mom"'s birthday.. I decided to try my hand at baking her a cake... This massive 5 layer cake is 3 layers of Very Vanilla Cake, and 2 layers of Vanilla Bean Cheesecake. The frosting is an Amaretto Buttercream, and I attempted to do an ombre.

Doing this cake taught me a LOT about dying icing, why it's important to use Crisco, having enough frosting, AND time management. She and everyone enjoyed it and it tasted great... But next time for decorating, I'll know better....
