Carterpillar 3D Baby Einstein
I made this Baby Einstein inspired Carterpillar for our oldest when he was 1. I used 1/2 mini cake balls overfilled to get the ball effect. I used B/C for the color and I used orange Gum Balls for the entenna tops. I used straws to hold them up.(today I would used chocolate covered pretzels to make the cake fully edible.) (Cake made in march 2003)
Now that's just the cutest thing! Great job and hint about the pretzels. :cake:
oh how cute! i love it!!
So very creative!!!
Thank you, I use chocolate covered pretzels in a lot of 2 or 3 layer cakes & they work really well. You have to use real chocolate or chocolate wafers though because choc. chips dont work too much lecithin I think. I even use them on smaller cakes I afix them to chocolate covered graham crackers like little posts and sit the small cake on top.
this is adorable!
I love this-you did a great job
That is sooo cute! Thanks for the idea of using choc. covered pretzels in place of dowels or straws. Great trick. You did a fabulous job of capturing the B. Einstein caterpillar!
