This half soccer ball cake is a hit! This one was for Jean-Christophe (JC), 12 years old. This is a vanilla cake with custard filling and buttercream icing covered with fondant. I baked the cake in a pyrex bowl that is the same size as a real soccer ball. I also cooked a standard round 9 inches cake that I carved a little for the bottom part of the cake. Letters and numbers are fondant. This cake was really fun to do, especially the green buttercream grass!
