Snow White Themed Automated Carousel Cake
I designed this cake for my daughter's 2 years old birthday. First I started off by drawing a concept of the cake in photoshop, my husband made a rough 3D look in sketch up to see the actual size and dimension. I found this really nice display stand which rotates smoothly even with this 8 inches cake on top. https://www.amazon.com/Motorized-Display-Yuanj-Jewelry-Collectibles/dp/B010NBNCBY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1501455576&sr=8-3&keywords=rotating%2Btable&th=1 And then I designed all the deers on top of the cake including snow white and the birds. I print the sketches in actual size as reference.
7in white mud layered and filed with white ganache. Covered in fondant. Horn, ears, and flowers were made with gumpaste. Buttercream swirls added sprinkled with eadible glitter.
White Drapes And Red Sugar Flowers Wedding Cake
My first creation for 2017 is a wedding cake which I decorated using fabric texture such as drapes effect and of course some sugar flowers arrangements including deep and velvet red David Austin English roses, ranunculus, roses and greenery such as eucalyptus leaves.
Valentine Heart Cake
I made this heart-shaped cake to celebrate my daughter's 2 months "bday". It is close to Valentine's day, so we decided to have a Valentine's day theme. It's a white cake with almond buttercream filling covered with pink buttercream frosting. Each rosette has a red M&M as a "button". I used a heart-shaped cookie cutter to place some sprinkles on top of the cake. All edible!
Cabin In The Woods
For my mom's 70th birthday. She wanted a cake with a creek and her sitting by it. They live in a cabin, so went with a cabin as well. This cake is based on a photo I found in a Google search, I couldn't find details of the original decorator. All decorations are out of fondant. The cabin is made out of a cardboard skeleton, with the fondant glued on with piping gel. It traveled through bumpy back country for over 3 hours, so couldn't make it out of cake or RC. Cake is carrot cake with a layer of cheesecake in the middle. Icing is white chocolate buttercream with a hint of cream cheese in it. Icing is very thin as cake is quite rich.
Eeyore Cake For Aunty
One of my lovely Aunties turned 60 years young and LOVES Eeyore so here he is. 100% edible with caramel mudcake and white choc ganache
Baby Girl Cake
Baby head is all cake, Vanilla Butter cake with white chocolate mousse filling. Modeling chocolate and fondant decorations and painted face.
White On White Royal Icing Overpiping
Royal icing on fondant, Lambeth Method. This was my first attempt at using this method on a cake I made "just for fun". I was pretty happy with how it turned out!
Figure Skating - Sport Cakes For Peace Collaboration
This is my second time when I participate in collaboration. For Sport Cakes for Peace Collaboration I have chosen one of the winter sport I like the most – figure skating. Skating is particularly close to my heart as brings memories from my childhood, every year during the winter time there was an ice rink set up next to my house, every day children were gathering there and skating until late evening. I always felt joy, peace and freedom when I was skating. Love to coming back to those memories. In my cake I tried to combine the beauty of figure skating and winter season. My bottom marble effect tier with silver and white crystals represents ice rink, middle tier represents figure skater in motion, white wafer paper flower on top of the cake stand for innocence, peace and freedom. Hope you like it :) Sport Cakes for Peace is a cake collaboration created by Elisabete Caseiro from @BetySugarland – Cake Design by Elisabete Caseiro to celebrate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, April 6th, 2017. On August 23 of 2013, the UN proclaimed that the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace would be celebrated April 6 every year. This day is a celebration of the power of sport to drive social change, community development and to foster peace and understanding. This date also marks the opening of the first modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896. This was an open collaboration and everyone who was interested could participate creating a Cake, Cookies or Sugar Piece representing this theme. At the end we were 50 cake decorators from 22 countries all over the world and we tried to cover a wide range of sports.
