Sand is a strip of brown fondant that was lightly brushed with thinned piping gel and sprinkled with crushed graham cracker crumbs. Topper and name are gum paste cutouts attached with royal icing to dowels that are pushed into the cake. Large bubbles on cake and on gently-curved florist wires are fondant, and the small bubbles are royal icing dots.
