All the balls are covered in swirled colored fondant and then brushed with piping gel to make them look shiny. The pins were made from RKT. I ran into so may problems with this cake that I was just happy to get something to the party! I ended up creating RKT shells to put the ball cakes in to get a better shape since then began shifting. By the time it was over, they actually weighed as much as real bowling balls!
