I've seen many cakes like this, so I'm not sure who to credit for the original design...this is a 9in round frosted in buttercream. It's a 2-layer cake, but the top layer is cut in half and stacked on top of itself, if that makes any sense. :) I used fondant for the details, plus some candy rocks (purchased at Walmart). The toy was purchased also.
