Teasure Chest is Chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and marshmallow fluff filling covered in Chocolate Fondant. the lid is a seperate cake with a cake board base. It's held up with support straws in the back where is rests on the bottom of the chest and two dowels to hold it open. I covered the dowels with chocolate too just to help them blend in. Pearls are gumpaste, coins are foil cover chocolate candies from the store, Jewels are just plastic toys.

The skull is from a Debbie Brown book (I love her stuff). It's chocolate cake with chocoalate ganache and strawberry filling. It's covered and decorated with MMF. fondant. Cake board is covered in buttercream and then brown sugar to replicate sand. Rock that skull sits on is just cake crumb covered in fondant. Thank God for the internet....I had to make a mid night Bing search for "how to make grey fondant" since they don't sell the color in the store. :D Thanks for looking! ENJOY!
