This is my first attempt at a barrel cake for my brothers 21st BDay.... it was a disaster from the start. I wanted it to have the sugar ice and sugar bottles but it was rainy & foggy this whole week and I think the humidity kept the sugar from setting, or I did something wrong. Everything was sticky and not hardening ...maybe next time. I ended up putting his favorite candy on top with some real mini bottles ..he loved it anyway. 3 layer 8" chocolate stout cake made with Guinness beer. MMM what's better than chocolate, cake & beer all together?
