Monogram on Cake Central

This was a very last minute wedding cake order. They placed the order on Wednesday for that following Saturday. It was vanilla cake with lemon bavarian cream filling.

What is your trick to getting your icing so smooth? Is this a buttercream frosting? I'd love tips from you on smoothing! Great job...B-E-A-utiful!!!

What a great cake for such short notice, I don't think I could have come up with anything that good without a lot more time!

Your'e all so nice. Thank You. The way I get my icing smooth is I make sure it is really soft icing. Then I put it on really thick and spin my turn table and take icing off with a spackling spatula. It has 90 degree angles that really help. Oh, and you gotta make sure that the cake is centered on the turntable.

Not keen on the flowers but the cake is beautiful, I love simple stacked wedding cakes and I think your border is really cute and one not often used. Well done ;-D
