Spring Tulips
A variation of a cake on the Wilton website called "Tulip Splendor". I did this for a friend's daughter's bridal shower. She will carry bright tulips in the wedding. The tulips and leaves are all gumpaste. The cake is funfetti (bride's favorite) with ivory colored buttercream. Two layer 10 inch and 6 inch rounds with the mini wonder shape on the top.
well done!! This really caught my eye!

Thank you for all the nice comments! This is my second version of this cake - and I loved this color combo much better than the lavendar version I did a while ago.

This is so beautful and springy! I really love it :) your tulips are lovely!
Thanks again - I learned from the first time and used a pasta roller to roll out the sheets of gumpaste. Then I cut out several shapes at once and put plastic wrap over them until I used them all. That saved so much time from rolling it by hand!
