This was just a cake thrown together to try out a new chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream recipe. It's not very good but as I'm not used to buttercream, I thought I'd have a go at icing the whole cake with it instead of fondant and found that by using the spatula up the sides, it didn't look too bad!! The white bits are white chocolate shavings.
