Yup, that's real goldfish in there.... It sure got the attention at the bridal fair.... Peach and white and gumpaste shells, by Lorraine at The Cake Pros. Sugarveil netting actually worked, but gets soft in any humidity. =(
He's in glass, so we think food safe, as cake is on a board. No fish was injured in the making of this cake. There are toothpicks between the bowl and the cake to allow for air. it's only for a few hours. they are hardy.
OMG!!! Real fishies;-) Totally cool concept!!!!!
oh wow! this is gorgeous!! I love the petal cakes with the rest of your design! Gets soft like falls apart or just gets soft like rips easily? Thanks
gets so soft it's like the original flexibility
Thanks for answering! I am enjoying looking at all your cakes right now!
i love this cake
that is so unique! great job!
Love the cake. I did the real fish thing for a wedding in August and it was huge talk at the reception. I also love the netting. Cool idea.
This is a very unique design but I'm wondering how the fish is getting air.
Asolutely beautiful. Is using a goldfish for a cake design considered food safe?
