This is actually a groom's cake I made for a wedding. The groom was a member of a hunt club, where the wedding was held. The bride told me afterward that no one knew it was a cake!
The head is made from gumpaste, the body is cake with piped ruffled "feathers", and the tail and wing feathers are made of wafer paper airbrushed with color (long process).
Amazing. It looks like the turkey's we have in our house (my husband's a hunter so we have turkey mounts). Great job!
