Thanks to MaMaCreates3 for the inspiration. I was concentrating too hard on getting the red right and badly neglected some of the other colors. These were a big hit. Just a doctored DH white cake with buttercream frosting, dark chocolate buttercream for everything done in black. Eventually the cupcakes were set on a board covered in green flannel. I'm a newbie, and while this was a little time consuming, it was pretty easy!
