I used 1/2 chocolate fondant & 1/2 modeling chocolate kneeded together. Then rolled them out to cigar size. Measure & cut to fit the top of the cake. Wrapped each one in a custom printed wrap with the bride & groom's last name on them.
The lid is foam cord board cut and painted with the same brown. The cake is iced, then the cigars placed on top, then the fondant sides put on all the way around. The back piece is taller to hold up the lid, support. Then the dowels placed into the cake, right next to the fondant, then the lid propped up on the back of the fondant piece and the dowels.
Fabulous!!!! Love, Love, Love it!
Holy *&^% !!! This looks so real that I cant tell if it is or isnt!! The groom is going to be estatic! What did you make the cigar's out of?
Very cool!!!!!
Love it!

Thanks Debby that is really kind of you.
You are most welcome! If you need anything else, just hollar!
That is just fantastic.....just brilliant. I wuld love to have a go. Did you find it hard. Are the sides pastillage.
All things considered, it was pretty easy to make this cake. The sides are fondant and then painted with brown for a wood look.
