Cigar Humidor

Cigar Humidor on Cake Central

For the Top: A week before, I placed gumpaste on the top of the cake pan so it could take shape. When harden I removed the top from the cake pan & let it dry. Then I placed fondant on the inside to match the inside cake. For the sides & edges: A couple of days before, I rolled out pieces of fondant. I did this so the pieces would be easier to handle when it was time to place them. I then airbrushed all of the pieces. The Cake: 8 sq, covered with fondant. I then attached the edges and side. The cigars are fondant with edible paper for the label.

The Cake: I used two 9 layers which I cut into 8. I covered the cake with 1/8 thick MMF. I then attached the edges and side pieces using melted white chocolate. I airbrushed the outside of the cake. The cigars are fondant with edible paper for the label.

Hey Sweet? Do you have pics showing step by step?? Man this is AMAZING ....You will have tons of compliment! I find really hard to make cakes for men... I was looking for Debbie Brown's 'cake for men' and they say it is not being sold here no more. Where did you copy this beauty from??

It was a surpise for my husband. He was always complaining that I made cakes for everyone else but him. Sorry I did not take step by step pictures.

It is such a fantastic cake. The brown side panels and the top of the lid... are they airbrushed? It's such a gorgeous deep brown.

This is very "grand". You have put a lot of effort into this - My Brother loves cigars and he would love this cake as well. Absolutely stunning. :detective: ;-D ;-D
