I have ordered from them once and had ok experience. But there is another board that I am on that has nothing but horror stories about sugarcraft. The customer service is for the birds. CountryKitchensa.com is a great site. I know that after all the garbage i have heard about sugarcraft I will not take a chance by ordering from them.,

I've never had a problem with them and I've placed probably 5 or 6 orders or so with them over the last several years. But I know several people who have had problems.

I've never ordered from Sugarcraft because...and this may sound odd...I hate their website. I think a company's website is very telling, and Sugarcraft's site just feels thrown together. Maybe it isn't really and I just haven't given it a decent chance, but I don't see myself ever ordering from them. I've also heard numerous stories from people who've had bad experiences with them. I agree with cakeconfections; CountryKitchen is awesome and their prices are just as good if not better.

I love Sugarcraft...they have a huge selection of high quality items. The prices and shipping are reasonable. They also ship really fast. I always order from them if I need something within a few days. Takes about 2-3 business days to get here with standard shipping. The contact I've had with customer service has been through emails and they always respond very quickly. I give them a thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

I've ordered from them several times, never had a problem, very fast service.

I do agree that the website is a nightmare, very hard to find anything in particular. I hate their search thing, it sends you back out into Google or someplace rather than searching their website.

I thought I was the only one on God's green Earth that felt lost at that site...I've never ordered either although I've wanted to because they seem to have reasonable prices...

I don't order from them uneless I have to! I'd much rather order from country kitchen! I tried to order from sugarcraft yesterday and every time I put a $20 mold in my cart it upped the shopping by $48. There practically is no customer service! All you can do is e-mail them and hope for a response, which I have yet to recieve. Their website is horrendous! Thank goodness I'm pretty good with a computer, or I'd never find anything. I ended up placing two orders yesterday. One to sugarcraft and one to Country kitchen. On the upside, sugarcraft has tons of things and my order made it here last time, but the customer service is a joke! I say... if you can't find it any other place... then order from sugarcraft! thumbsdown.gif

Ditto. Plus... even tho' they later issued credit, they double-charged my credit card -- and denied having done so. thumbsdown.gif

I also find their website very user unfriendly.. it's just too busy... on the up side, they do ship fast and their shipping costs are the usual rate and not any higher than other companies...

Oh my gosh..I agree with you guys about the website but they have nearly everything! I have placed SO many orders with them and I've never had a problem. There have been times I needed it super fast and got it the next day! But it was costly. If you like to order ready-made fondant at all, Sweetly Iced is fabulous and they keep you super-informed about your order. Mine was slightly delayed and they called me and told me and even gave me $2.00 off. thumbs_up.gif

Thanks everyone....I actually did place the order with them...I found the stuff I needed with Country Kitchens but side by side, they were much more expensive for those particular items. Thanks for your input...

I've never had a problem with them. I've ordered from them several times. I've also e-mailed them with questions and they've been very helpful. I actually ordered from them yesterday and keyed my expiration date in wrong for my cc. Got a call last night to verify my information so they could process the order. They were very nice.

The website is very busy - a lot of information there. Try the google search at the bottom of the page and it will find all instances of what you are looking for on the site. It's very helpful.

Happy Shopping!

I like Sugarcraft, I've ordered from them and had good luck. I've even been to the store, the people were very nice and they had a HUGE selection.

Are you sure it was actually Sugarcraft that double-billed you? Most online stores' billing is handled by a 3rd party site. Once you hit submit you go to the billing company's site. The Way it's set up you don't even realize that that's what has happened. It just happens in the background. It may be possible that the error happened with their billing company and did not show on their end. It would probably have been noticed further down The road had you not brought it to their attention.

Their site really needs to be organized A bit better. The layout is brutal. Maybe that's how they save money. Not hiring a professional web master/mistress.

I love sugarcraft! I have been ordering with them for at least 4 years.
No doubt the shipping is high!! icon_eek.gif I will sometimes shop on ebay. I found this on ebayer Simply Sweet Supplies. I bought 7lb satin ice 25 cake rounds and some witches hats. for 45.00 including SH. I just checked Sugar craft SH and it was........19.95...double of Simply Sweet Supplies.
check them out! They don't have everything yet but for the items they do have you won't go broke on SH

I love Sugarcraft. Have been ordering from them for some time. I do have trouble with the website, but if you email Dolores, she will tell you exactly where to look and how to get there. Very fast shipping and reasonable prices.

Dolores is great, she used to host the cake chat a long time ago ...like '90 something.

I like looking at all the things on the website..lol

She also hosted a live chat via the Florida ICES When it was held in Orlando.

I have ordered from their site quite a few times now, the shipping is quite high compared to other sites I use. The only problem I've had with them so far is I don't always get everything I ordered (they do reemburse my cc), but no explanation from them to let me know why. I do agree with the website setup. I think I've got the hang of it now, but it is a pain. Their prices are very reasonable (not counting the shipping).

I love it that they have just about everything you might want.

Yes...she goes way back. I think they still have a message board over there. I think?

I ordered the tip carosel 2 months ago and still haven't received it icon_cry.gif the first time they called it was back ordered, they just called me last week and told me the pegs weren't in. I still haven't received it but at least they have called and told me what is going on. Haven't been charged for it yet on my credit card statement.

I've ordered from them several times and all went very well. Once they called me ask me if I wanted to wait on something that was back-ordered or just have the rest shipped right away. Dolores has answered several e-mails about items I wasn't sure about. I think that is pretty good customer service.

I'll agree that the website is sometimes hard to navigate, but they carry an awful lot of stuff that is otherwise hard to find. And they do try to explain a lot. I think most of it was put up very early on and though they are updating, it is slow.

And as far as charging for shipping, to keep prices low, you do have to charge what it costs to ship. One has to pay one way or another. If the shipping is low, the prices usually are higher. Somehow, they gotta pay the rent! (and the lights, and the phone, and to keep the website up, and the insurance, and.... ) When I've compared their prices with countrykitchensa.com, sugaracraft.com virtually always is less before the shipping gets added, so it probalby evens out. I was comparing the two today, and sugarcraft had more of the things I was looking for, and most of it was priced lower.

Almost no one ever mentions Beryls, anyone shop there? I keep going to that site, but I've never ordered.

I haven't ordered from them as of yet because they want my FIRST BORN and all my banking and credit card info on file since they consider me an International order....Hmmm...I am from Canada next door and I am International.Anyway I didn't agree with all the personal info they wanted and the shipping was outrageous!! I do agree with most that the site is poorly laid out and hard to find things. If it was easier to order maybe I would consider it!

Doesn't make any difference who did it... I won't shop anywhere where they tie up any amount of my $$$ for 10 days. Costco doesn't get my gasoline business for that same reason.

I've only had good experience with them. If something's out of stock they call me beforehand to see if I want to wait, or ship without.
