Tried several times to copy/paste my pic from CakesDecor…just ain’t working. So I’ll just post the link. I made some salt dough mitten ornaments along with some baked treats for my neighbours.

June, I saw the adorable mittens, but I didn't read the part about the salt dough! I thought they looked yummy and wondered if they would ever make it to the Christmas tree, lol. That's really a great idea.
they look actually knitted in a beautiful upscale pattern - so well done!
and the strings to hang them remind me of the yarn strand attached to both of my mittens so that they stayed threaded through my coat sleeves for easy access -- did you guys have that?
Ha Ha Sandra…I saw your comment. These mittens are definitely not edible…super fun to make.
Thanks Kate…and yes, my Mom would knit us mittens and yes, they did have the yarn attachment that went through the sleeves of your coat. I wish you could get them that way today. So much easier for the kids. You can’t lose them!!
On a sad note. My daughter has Covid. She called bawling her eyes out because obviously we can’t get together for Christmas. Nor can we celebrate my grandson’s birthday. His skating party has been canceled. Moved to January. She has a cough, and exhaustion. But that’s about it. Thank goodness for that. And that she was fully vaccinated. Thank the good Lord daughter didn’t have to be hospitalized. My daughter is sooooo careful. She suspects someone at the hockey rink. Many take off masks to drink coffee. Your supposed to just lift your mask to expose your mouth to drink, keeping your nose covered. Many don’t. I personally leave my mask on and use a stainless steel straw. This is the first time in 44 years I’ve not celebrated Christmas Eve with my family. Last year the whole family couldn’t celebrate, but we had our children/grandchildren. This year, just hubby and I. :o( :o(
I hope your daughter recovers well and quickly!!! glad it doesn't sound too awful --
we will celebrate christmas with each other this year -- but -- we are having a family farkle game on zoom -- california, tennessee to indiana!
I'm really looking forward to it!
Thanks Reggie ❤️ Appreciate it…
So it just gets better and better….my son in law and both my grandson’s now have Covid. Oldest, whose birthday is this Friday, Christmas Eve, was up half the night. Fever of 104!! Youngest, his face was swollen from the fever. Poor monkeys. I made two types of soup and a large shepherds pie and took out to my daughter/family and dropped off on their front porch. My two grandkids pressing their faces against the glass of the screen door, waving at me. So the boys were feeling a bit better.
I’m going to bake a small bday cake for my grandson tomorrow to take out Friday morning. We’ll bring a couple of gifts for the grandkids, including my son/d-I-lw’s little guy to open Christmas Eve. Plus some Christmas crack and cookies I made. Hopefully we will FaceTime on Christmas Eve.
Oh June it’s good to hear your relatives are getting better so quickly. As we have been hearing on tv I guess your family now knows how fast it travels! Hopefully they will not have any long lingering problems.
I still have to wait at least 6-8 weeks for a buster as my 2nd shot was late. I just pray I keep healthy until then & of course always. I wasn’t going to get the booster shot but now can hardly wait.
Thanks kakeladi/lynne…. Hubby and I got our boosters as soon as we could. Thank the Lord for that, because I think that is why hubby and I didn’t get Covid after being exposed to our daughter/grandkids. So I’m a firm believer in the booster vaccine. I can see in USA and Canada that still, the majority of people dying from Covid are the unvaccinated. And people who have been vaccinated, and sadly, die, it’s 99.99% because they have very serious underlying health issues. I think the science is proving that a yearly Covid shot is going to be necessary. Pfizer is working on a combo of covid/flu vaccine. So imagine this will be the way for many years to come. Keep safe my friend….a have a blessed Christmas..celebrating the birth of our dear Lord.
june -- muy haute couture and the first one is avant garde
(been watching a lot of project runway reruns ha!)
gscout73, I just copy from Cakes Decor and paste here. It seems to work from other sites, but not from your computer, Facebook or twitter.
Here is the latest of June's pictures

Part 2
From June's page on CD:
We couldn’t get together for Polish Christmas Eve this year. Daughter, husband and my two grandson’s had Covid. Thankfully, their Ok. Grandson Hudson’s bday was Dec 24th. He already had his skating birthday party canceled, with planned bday cake aborted. Couldn’t see him go without a bday cake. I baked and decorated a cake and dropped off at my grandson’s house on Christmas Eve.
Cake based on design from Zoe’s Fancy Cakes.

Doesn't every child deserve a grandma like June?
Ahhhh…Regina
Thanks soooooo much for posting my pics. And the lovely compliment…I try to be a good grandma. You won’t understand Regina, until one day, hopefully, you will be in my shoes. But I love my grandkids it seems ever so much more than my kids when they were little. I guess it’s not having the daily stresses of raising them. And as for posting pics here. As you said, CC will not accept FB, IG. CC seems to accept link from CD, CC told me link was accepted, but after clicking upload, the written words upload, but not the picture from CD??? Now I’ve been using my ipad. I’ll have to try my laptop, and see if that will work???
