Christie, Bunny Bread is a brand name of soft white bread very popular in the south, maybe not nationally known.  It is the kind of bread little kids love and I use to make doughballs for fishing, lol.

Sandra.....

Got it!  And, ummmmm…..kids?  I guess I'm a kid.  We have Wonder bread...or store generic, Walmart's being my favorite.  I like it for making grilled cheese...also kid-style.  I never grew Grown-up taste buds.  lololol  It's a good thing I live alone, too, so that I don't have to defend my bad habits, which are life-long!

Peace!

 :)

Yes, Wonder Bread is the same as Bunny Bread.  I love grilled cheese sandwiches made with a crusty sourdough bread, BLT's on whole rye, etc.  Love whole grain, seed breads.

My Mom made white bread one week, whole wheat  the next. When I was dating my husband, who is Polish, I had never had rye bread. Mom being Scottish/Canadian it was strictly whole wheat/brown. My Mom-in-lw had every type of rye bread, dark, light, dense, marble. I loved it. So after that I rarely had white bread in the house. Only whole wheat and rye. Of course we always had the occasional baguettes, and white rolls. I remember years ago my best friend was visiting me with her two sons were small. Probably 6 and 4 years old. I was making sandwiches, using whole wheat bread. The older 6 yr old, looked at the sandwich and said to me.  ”Don’t you have any “normal” bread”!!!  Meaning did I have white bread!!!!  Ha Ha!!!!

I grew up on the traditional mushy, white loaf bread.  When I married and started buying my own groceries and baking bread myself, I discovered how wonderful whole grain, sprouted, seed, and sourdough breads tasted and never went back.  I do make an Amish sourdough white bread a lot.  It, of course, is most everyone's favorite.  I told Mama that her generation ruined food by over processing.

Lynne I’ve made bread in a can, coffee can, lots of times. But never saw what MBalaska posted. Completely cooked bread “sealed” in a can like vegetables.

One should only buy what they are happy to eat or use normally. Otherwise you're just wasting your hard earned money.

It`s good with cream cheese, to counter the sweetness.

Cream cheese makes everything taste better!!!!

On another note, our Premier, like your Governor’s, has extended the lock down in my Province of Ontario, until the end of April. Then he will reassess  the situation, after that. Our minister of health says she thinks we will hit the peak in the next week and a half. She’s hopefully optimistic that if everyone sticks to our current protocol, the rate of infection will start to decline. So there maybe the possibility that perhaps that in the early weeks of June, things may get back to normal. Our Premier says businesses, people coming outside will be done very slowly as to not cause another outbreak. Only time will tell.
