Bueno amiga, si la receta la sacaste de pinterest, lo raro sería que hubiera salido bien! Que receta usaste? Por la apariencia, el pastel parece un bizcocho, de esos secos que después se mojan con sirope y la crema parece merengue cocido y luego espolvoreado con coco rallado. I've made a million southern coconut cakes (got to be southern because I am in the south) and have tried a few different recipes and not a single one of them has looked like this.  Neither has any of the other millions of cakes I've made.  I think this picture is out of focus and makes the cake look almost like a blanket.

I don’t do coconut but that pic looks like most any yellow cake filled with b’cream sprinkled with coconut   What is so different about it?   What does yours look like — How is yours different?
