And for "Y," one of my favorite holiday treats...Yule log cake (bûche de Noël). We make these every year in my upper level classes. The students like vet making them and sharing with other teachers

ZUPPA INGLESE -  sponge cake or ladyfingers dipped in Alchermes, a bright red, extremely aromatic Italian herb liqueur. They are then alternated with layers of crema pasticciera, a thick egg custard cooked with a large piece of lemon zest (removed afterwards). Often there is also a layer of crema alla cioccolata made by dissolving dark chocolate in a plain crema pasticcera. In Italy it is occasionally topped with cream, meringue or almonds.[1]

carolinecakes -- the dough is stretched out on the back of your hands -- it's really a kick to make -- it's like magic that it does that --

kakeladi, you asked me how long ago I made that strudel pictorial -- maybe10-ish years ago  -- and I make it solo not in a group although my husband would help me these days if I made it -- it's not hard really -- I learned how to make it out of a cook book -- and I've been making it since my daughter was a baby -- I used to sell it --

@kakeladi ‍ great idea to start this up again.  It was fun last time.

I always called these things brownie truffle cups not realizing they are actually truffle brownie cups but I'm gonna go with my version of the name and use them for "B".  They are really simple to make & you can dress them up to look fancier. I make them quite often for parties and everyone always likes them.  Worth a try in my mind:

Breakfast dessert, that's the way to go! Every meal should have his dessert...

Speaking of breakfast, I guess you kind of "brainwash" me @kakeladi ‍ b'cause I had a coconut-date oatmeal this morning. I wonder where this idea came to my mind! :)
