I just saw this at my sisters house a couple of day's ago. My niece has it as her background on her computer. YUK!!!
Been there, done that...not with a mouse though. LOL My daughters youngest critter LOVES icing. It can be hard, I usually put her in the bath room when I am decorating.
Funny pic!!!

My DS just got a kitten from a friend
I haven't yet decorated any cake with her upstairs. But my icing is put away behind a closed door ![]()
YUCK!! I am glad that our hamster Nibbler is in the cage at all times unless my DH or myself are holding it when the girls want to pet it. I am sure that he would love to nibble on those cupcakes!!
We have an American Mastiff puppy that is 11 months old. He is as tall as the normal height of a counter top. A couple of weeks ago I was making a 3 tier round and was cooling them and I ran upstairs for a minute. My DH let me know that maybe next time I should put something in front of the cooling rack so Jake wouldn't get the next ones. Needless to say my 3 tier became a 2 tier! LOL Learned my lesson and no longer leave them so close to the edge with nothing in front! HAHAHAHA~
Our cat we had before loved sweets. She would like a plate clean that had frosting from cake on it. I could see her doing it. But she would only eat it if it were placed in front of her. She never climbed on counters or tables.
Well I have a 15 yr old cat and never knew she liked cake the other day I was eating carrot cake and she went crazy. I had a sample of french vanilla and again crazy cat go figure.
I'm missing something.
I've had cats my entire life - a long time and cats don't like sweets. None of them, it's a known fact.
My last cat LOVE sweets. She would do anything to get some candy, cookies or cake.
Not sure where you heard that cats don't like sweets. But that is not true. At least not with my cats, my cousins cat and my best friends cats.
Cute picture. It reminds me of why I now have two cakes in my microwave and two in my small convection/rotisserie (sp?) oven. With three crazy cats in my house I never know, especially the oldest one whom loves bread and crackers (she used to eat the bread right through the plastic about 13 years ago, so we had to start storing it in the refrigerator).
Our cats, esp Cena LOVES icing, I think she would eat it till it ran from her ears like water. LOL

My cat loves sweets. His favorite being whip cream but he will eat icing, yogurt, cake - pretty much anything sweet he can get a hold of.
When I was just beginning to do cakes my friend at work was having a 30th birthday party so I volunteered to make a cake. I was going to make an entire sheet cake and stack a smaller, spiderman cake on top of it. It's Friday night and my goal was to bake the cakes Friday and decorate and frost on Saturday. I get the first huge cake out of the oven (by now it's going on midnight) set it on the table. Walk away and start mixing the batter for the second cake - at this point I still have clear view of the cake and can see that everything is perfectly fine. I turn my back for a second and in comes Harley prancing thru (yes, thru) the cake nibbling as he's going on his merry way. I could have killed him. Needless to say, this is the very reason that I now bake cakes at my mom's house!!!!
By the way, I was up until 2am rebaking everything
I mentioned in my post late last night/early this morning how I had baked four cakes and had safely tucked two into the small oven and two into the microwave to keep my three kitties away. Well they escaped the cats, thankfully, but when I put the two from the micro on the kitchen table so I could heat my almost 17 month old daughter's lunch, I went to the sink to wash her highchair tray and when I turned back around I caught her reaching up and grabbing what was obviously ANOTHER piece of cake. There is now a bite size piece of cake taken out of my eight inch round chocolate cake. Thankfully it should work out well since I have to carve it.
If it ain't the cats it's the kids!!!
I have 5 pet rats and I have to veeeery careful if they are out running while I am sitting on the couch with a snack - or they will steal the food right out of my hand. When I once in a blue moon feed them cake, it looks just like that picture - just without the cat.
My cat does not care for my pet rats by the way. He only chases the mice in the garden! ![]()
