I've always wanted to go there. I've heard both good and bad things, but I guess it all depends on the person and what they are looking for. icon_rolleyes.gificon_rolleyes.gif

Are you talking about the Master Course? I took it a few years ago. There are pros and cons.

Pros: You get to meet people from all over the world.
It's fun!
You get to practice, practice, practice making flowers and borders.

Cons: You never work with actual cake, just dummies. So, you don't
really get a feel for leveling, dowelling or stacking cakes.
You only work with royal icing, so you don't get to practice
smoothing buttercream or piping BC flowers.
It's VERY expensive when you take into account the cost of
tuition, your motel room and 3 meals a day.

So, like the previous poster said, it depends on what you're looking for.

I've been to the school many times--Master Class, Colette Peters classes, sugar classes, chocolate classes, Lambeth class, Nick Lodge classes, working with real cakes class.........

I guess I really like it. icon_lol.gif

The price/hr. is generally excellent. The people are wonderful.

Yes, the hotel costs add up, but if it ain't comin' to me, I hafta' go to it...........
