She did. That's what makes the line even funnier, Ben can't help but lie about every damn thing. LOL
That reminds me of another funny exchange in the beginning when John asks Ben if he knew about the room (with the pendulum) and he says no. And Jack asks Mrs.Hawking if Ben is lying and she says "probably." 
Hurley is a sweetheart.
Another fantastic episode! Ben's one liners had me LOL too. I'm thinking he went to try to kill Penny but maybe Desmond interceded?
The beginning made me think of the first episode too, in fact, at first, I was wondering if they went back to that time.
And NOW I'm thinking it makes sense why we are seeing Jack's father on the island. Maybe this is old for some, but it didn't hit me until last night. I don't think he's Jacob anymore. I think he's just showing up on the island because his body was on the plane. John is "playing" Jack's dad in this recreation and I think John will magically come back to life at the island. Maybe the same happened to Jack's dad...or he's some type of ghost on the island now? Still chewing on that one...
Yes, big questions: What happened to Aaron? How did Sayid and Hurley get on the plane? I think Aaron may be with his grandmother. Good point on Hurley being visited by Charlie...that would explain the guitar. When I saw the guitar, for a split second, I thought Charlie was back.
I'm not so sure they are back in the past.
I was thinking Aaron went to live with Sun's daughter. When she was on the phone with her daughter she told her of Aaron and how she was going to have a new playmate...or something like that. I had thought it was weird at the time how she worded it. But, it makes sense if that is where he is at now.
Eww at Kate more than likely getting knocked up by Jack. She didn't want to have to take Aaron to the island. So she had to get pregnant to replace him, like the guitar replaced Charlie and the shoes replaced Jack's dad.
Again...my poor Sawyer.
Good point maryjsgirl... i never once thought of Aaron maybe being with Ji Yeon, I'll have to mull that one over 
And sorry, I rather like Jack and Kate.... 
Although I must admit, I think I'm slowly starting to like Sawyer more *BIG GASP!* That scene with him in the jungle watching Kate and Claire...that was simply touching
I thought Sun was telling her dd that on the phone when Aaron was in the car with her because she was planning on killing Kate along with Ben. She seemed to blame all of them for Jin's death.
I never thought about Kate getting pregnant by Jack, but it does make sense. I like Jack & Kate together also, but I like Kate & Sawyer together as well - so for me whoever she ends up with is fine.
I still don't think they are all on the island. They didn't have all six of them together to get back....I think they probably have run into some sort of problem, hence the weird flash instead of crashing on to the island. I'm gonna go out on a limb, and guess that there's a lot more going on than what we saw last night....
I'm not so sure things with Aaron are so easy....Kate told Jack to never say his name again. If he were safe, and she made the choice to leave him, I don't think she'd be so brutal about it...just my humble opinion Really, I have no idea!! LOL!!

I think Aaron is either with Claire's mom/his grandmother or with that Cassidy (the chick Sawyer conned, and had a daughter with). I think the thing Sawyer asked Kate to do before he jumped out of the helicopter was to get in contact with her. Plus, Kate and Cassidy already have a sort of relationship, from when Cassidy helped Kate talk to her mom.
I really hope Ben didn't kill Penny. Though it could be the catalyst that gets Desmond back on the Island.
Ben's mother died when he was a baby. I am sure that had a great effect on him. Do you think he would be callous enough to kill a mother of a young child?
But, then again he did somehow get a hold of Alex, lol. So nevermind...
I just listened to a recent podcast by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse (two of the writes of Lost), and they said that "316" was originally supposed to be the 7th episode this season, and "The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham" was suppsed to be episode 6. They said it just made more sense to switvh them around. But with a title like that, I bet we get to see a lot about Locke next week !!
