I'm trying to determine if a change I made to my buttercream would require refrigeration.

My basic recipe that does not require refrigeration is
1.5 cups crisco
2lbs of sugar
10tbsp reconstituted coffee creamer (from Sugar Shacks recipe)
2 tsp of flavoring

The change I made is instead of using the coffee creamer, I disolved one small box of pudding in 10 tblsp of water and used that for my liquid.

Would this need to be refrigerated?

Thanks for your help.
Sincerely
Cristy

Nope, no refrigeration needed. Should be good for a couple of days at room temp. Any leftover would last best if kept in the frig.

The sugar in the buttercream preserves it, so you don't need to refrigerate!
