I have some "Fairy Dust Dessert Toppings" in green apple and banana that I found at the grocery store a few months ago, but can't locate it online.
Cake Mate makes some you can find sometimes. Cinnamon and peppermint are two I remember.
Here's a naturally flavored bunch from the internet.

THANK YOU! Those look promising and I hadn't found those on any of my previous searches.

Hi Fiddlesticks...your cuppies look great...what recipe frosting do you use? It looks so much softer than my crisco/butter combo frosting? thanks.

Definitely get the liners. They are worth it!

I was wondering that myself Penny when I saw that episode. I have been doing searches to see how to make them and I came across this.

I did find "True Lemon" and "True Lime" in my grocery store and they are really tart and good sugars.

HI,
I've seen some cupcake liners/cups out there that look like something from a fast food chain used to hold ketchup/tartar sauce in. It's a white little cup---can someone tell me what this is called and where I can buy them? Also, would you fill these and bake them on a cookie sheet as it looks like it could hold it's shape and therefore you wouldn't need the muffin tins. Thank you!

There are called snack and nut cups I buy mine from Michaels. I personally haven't baked in them but I have heard of people that have they just place them close together on a baking sheet and they look super nice. These were baked in them.

thank you luvbuttercream! I have been reading this cupcake thread and wondered what a nut cup was!!! I'm going to check at Michael's and see what I can find. They certainly look sturdy enough to hold up if they are placed together on a baking sheet.

Are those your cupcakes that you attached on the link to flckr?? GORGEOUS!

As long as it isn't a thick filling...just ask a pharmacist for an child's medicine syringe...they're free.

I'm BRAND SPANKING NEW to all of this cake decorating, cupcake, cookie, blah blah blah so I can't speak for these (yet...it's coming though! icon_biggrin.gif ) but I used to make fried biscuits and roll them in sugar. I would either fill them with apple butter, melted butter & honey, strawberry pie glaze...anything like that. Just suck it up in the syringe, put the syringe in the middle of the biscuit and squeeze. YUM!

I do make a breakfast pancake muffin for the kids...fill cup half way with pancake cupcake batter, then a layer of cooked sausage mix with scrambled eggs and then more batter. Then cook it. When it comes out I put maple syrup in the syringe and put that in the middle and then top it all with a dusting of powdered sugar.

So Fiddlesticks, if you don't mind me asking, what was the brand of cherry juice that you used? I haven't found a concentrated juice with just cherries in it.

Hey GrandmaG,
You know you can ask me anything!
I used a brand called White Swan Maraschino Cherry syrup!
It's like the Torani Syrup's ...I think I might of found this one at my local Gorumet food store....
It didn't have any Cherries in it.
I used reg jared Maraschino cherries to top mine with..or to chop and add in the batter if wanted ..
I'm sure you can use the Juice out of the Cherry jar I just thought this had a stronger flavor to it !
At least for my taste it did !
I think any stronger cherry juice or concentrate etc you have or can find will work wonderfully as well..I just happen to already have this in my pantry!

If I may add my 2 cents, I'm from MA and had a really tough time finding cherry syrup. I ended up using cherry flavoring that I bought from a cake decorating store. I took a little taste of it and ugghhh it tasted like Nyquil! I ended up added a little bit of vanilla flavoring to get rid of some of the medicine taste. Next time I think I will use your suggestions fiddlesticks and use maraschino cherry syrup--or even better, puree the cherrys--that would be super!!!!! There will be a next time because these cupcakes were wonderful!!!!

Again, thank you for sharing the recipe.....

Why thanks so much..really glad you enjoyed them so much!
I'm sure there are lots of ways to get the flavor you want added..Puree would be wonderful also...
What I was looking for when I was asked to make these was a Pink lemonade with just enough strong yummy Cherry flavor to offset the tangy/tart flavor of the lemonade.....So the way I made them was perfect for what I was looking for..in this cupcake anyway!
And I also had all the Ingredients..
I was asked to make these for someone that wanted a different ..summer... refreshing flavor made into a cupcake!

I have been using the Monin syrups that are found in liquor stores and I just love them. They come in so many really neat flavors and they keep forever in the fridge. When a cake mix calls for 1 1/4 cup of water, I use 3/4 cup of these syrups and the rest water. Love the results.
