Those sound wonderful Fiddlesticks! Did you make the cupcake lemonade and then the cherry flavor in the buttercream?

I made both the cupcake and the buttercream cherry and lemonade ..But used heavier on the lemonade in the cupcake and heavier on the cherry in the icing !
Oh and added a cherry on top!
It was one of those flavors that make you want more hehe!
The sweet tangy combo!

Great thread. My favorite filling is Guava creme mousseline. I make Martha's creme mousseline and add guava preserves when cooled.

New to this thread. I made cherry coke cupcakes after I saw them on cupcake wars. Someone made cherry coke cuppies in ice cream cones. I had to really search for a recipe, but I finally found one, and everyone at work loved them. I topped them with a simple buttercream using maraschino cherry juice as my liquid - so it came out a nice pink color. I'm making them for a picnic next week - they will be perfect for kids since there won't be any cupcake papers.

What would you top the root beer float cupcakes with - vanilla BC to stand in for the Vanilla ice cream? For the cherry coke cuppies, I mixed coke with PS to glaze the tops before I put on the buttercream, my recipe said that was the coke float part. I could do the same with the rootbeer to amp up the taste. I'm new to cuppies and I don't get to bake very often, but I do have a fundraiser coming up for Leukemia Lymphoma that I could take the root beer ones to!

I know everyone does their's different. Most substitute the rootbeer for the liquid in the WASC. I like to make the vegan vanilla cupcake. It's a different texture. Fill with vanilla Bettercreme and then top with a big swirl of rootbeer flavored Bettercreme. LorAnn makes the most intense flavored rootbeer flavoring.

did you just start with like a white cake or wasc and then use the lemonade for the liquid? I was planning on trying it and thats how i figured i would go about it.

I havent figured out yet if i want to make a bc from scratch yet.. as i dont have a stand mixer and only a hand one... lol Not looking forward to beating frosting for any length of time. haha.

Yes I just used a mix and replaced the water with pink lemonade and cherry syrup.......add more or less of either flavor to get what taste you like best..More lemonade( more tang ) more Cherry syrup ( more sweet).
I did the same with my buttercream....
I still added the oil in the mix and just replaced the water ...

Yes you can do that..it might not be as strong a flavor as the reg cherry syrup.....so you might have to add more of the cherry and less lemonade...

Does anyone know where to get flavored sugars? I was watching "DC Cupcakes" and they went to some importer friend and got flavors such as lavender and other flowers. I've tried to search around online, but haven't found anything.

Anyone have any leads?

I haven't tried any new and exciting flavors lately...working full time takes too much time away from cake and cupcake making!

Does anyone have a good favorite recipe for a chocolate peanut butter cupcake? I would like to make one when my father in law visits later this week. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I have an order to do 100 cupcakes. I do not have the cupcake liners to go in the boxes. Do I dare try to deliver with out them? Or should I order them? I love this subject I just found this tonight. Started reading page 1...

I have some "Fairy Dust Dessert Toppings" in green apple and banana that I found at the grocery store a few months ago, but can't locate it online.
Cake Mate makes some you can find sometimes. Cinnamon and peppermint are two I remember.
Here's a naturally flavored bunch from the internet.
