Hi, everyone

It's been slow at work so far this week. My sixth day was taken from me. Looking forward to it getting busier for the rest of the week.

I did find a scale and the last couple times I stepped on it it read 158. So that is a couple pounds down since I last checked in Pittsburgh. It has been cold here so I am not getting much exercise besides at work. At least there is no snow or rain.

Well, talk to you all later.

Well, it's sooooooo hot here at the moment! This morning I decorated a cake with my AC on, drove 20 minutes to deliver it with the AC on in my car, but I could see the BC starting to melt, just carrying it from the car to the building, about 20 metres. It's certainly not a temperature that I can exercise in! I'm drinking heaps of water, so that's a bonus!

Hi all
I am doing fairly well, I lost 3 pounds in January. I am doing quite a bit in my Sparkpeople teams and on a few challenge teams this month so I hope it does something!

How is everyone doing? Food, workout, water, and life in general???????

I am OK, my work has cut my hours in half so I have been trying to get a grip on my stress of money. I decided not to turn to food, and have been OK, not the best, but OK.
I work out 2 times most days, drink all of my water and have been doing pretty well with my food. I try to cook for my self, if DBF cooks I have limited to a normal serving. Hard because I love his bad for me cooking it tastes sooooo gooooood.

Susan I hope things are going OK for you.
Karen did the end of Super Bowl week get any better?
Sonia I hope it cools down a bit for you
Merissa why are you bonking your head???

OK gotta go and do my half day at work. Have a great one everyone.

I am bonking myself in the head because I just havent been engaged in my healthy lifestyle! BUT I joined a new workout center in the community for half the cost I was paying. I have been 4 times over the last week and i am starting to feel better about myself. I have been working on my eating too.

hey just checking in real fast..... Here it is Thursday and i've done my crunches only 2x this week GRRRR and the last 2 nights ate a late dessert BUT the ice cream is GONE and the oreos are bye bye so HOPEFULLY I'll do better tomorrow!
I have been trying to finish loose ends on my dh's surprise party it's 2 months away and I'm running out of $$ and still so much to do GRRRRR... SO hard when I don't have my own income but I know I will manage and it will be Amazing... I'm having the HARDEST time finding my undergarmets that won't show thru my outfit and a just plain solid red tablecloth - everything has a design on it OR is cranberry not red grr I was HOPING that Target would have a red one for Vday but nope no such luck OH well I'm sure if I was more willing to spend more money on it then I'd find it but alas I'm cheap...

BUT I will do better w/ my crunches as I am in the final countdown...

Well, my new motivation is turning the big 50 in six weeks. AHHHHHHH! Anyway, I figure I might as well try to feel better about something so might as well be how I look and feel. Starting today on Adkins. I did it about 5 yrs. ago and it was tough to stay on but I lost almost 50 lbs. Now they have everything online and it seems to be alot more user friendly adding the veggies and all. Wish me luck!
Sonia, hearing your side of the world have some major issues of late. How are you fairing besides the heat?
Michelle, yeah for the 3 lbs.
Merrisa good for you going the the health club. Does it seem to get you motivated having a group setting . Just wondering if it would work for me.

Hello, all!

Checking in. We moved last week to a permanent apartment, so no more $1,000 a month. We are also going to be able to use the internet (at least it appears that way right now).

Superbowl week got a lot better at the end, thanks for asking; and we have been busier since. I think that the 'season' is finally starting. The last couple days have been rather tough on me. Last Tuesday was really tough. We did about $2,000 in sales and one of the girls quit. There were just two of us. I did bring home $130 in tips, though, so it was all good.

I have not been actively trying to lose weight for a while. Seems that just gettting back to Florida has made me feel much better about myself.

Hope everybody is doing ok. I'll check in again soon.

Karen

Hey, its great to have most of you back!! Still missing a couple, though!

Merissa, keep checking in, hopefully we can encourage each other!

My kids have finally gone back to school today, and this is the day I was going to start walking, but I've had so much on! Hubby kept sending me on errands for his work so I will start my walks TOMORROW! I have, however, put more effort into healthy eating today to get me started. I have a dr. appointment on Friday, to start the process of being tested for food intolerances. I'm hoping that will help my eating, also.

Fortunately we are in the coolest state of Australia. Our temperatures have been about average for Tassie, with only a few fires around the state, which are under control.

Hi all!
actually I am doing pretty well. I am really into the program...for now anyway. I do prefer having a gym to work out at. I went 4 days last week and I plan on about that many this week. I wasnt sure how I felt today (everyone here has been sick with the stomach flu) so I decided to not go today.

I am just so sick of talking about losing weight and not doing it. It must be annoying to other people. I just need to do it already!

Sonia, glad to hear that you aren't affected directly by the fires. It sounds just awful.

Congrats on your new place karen!
Good luck with all that planning connie!

Sounds like everyone is busy!

Hi everyone.
Sonia so glad you are doing fine with all of the fires down there.

Merissa glad you found something that you like and will stick with even if for now.

I am doing well with my workouts and eating. I tell you Sparkpeople sure does help me. I am on a few challenges with teams and I dont want to disapoint my teams so it gives me a little bit of a push to stay on track!!!

Have a great day everyone!

Sonia I'm glad that you aren't being directly effected by the fires.
Merissa glad you found something that works for you
Michelle glad sparklepeople has been a good tool for you to stay on track....

Well, I think I'm getting sick I am hoping it's just a bad cold but afraid that it's not GRR..... I did do 100 crunches today b/c I haven't been feeling very good about me since I've skipped so many days. SO I did it anyway today though I'm not feeling well I just didn't get to my 'usual' number which I'm ok w/ that. I'm sorry I'm not very consistant, seems I'll do great one week and the next horrible.

Congrats on those of you that have found a grove keep up the good work

Just checking in real quick. The internet is still in and out and without a car it is hard to get up to the beach to sit to use the computer.

Glad to hear that you are ok, Sonia.

Hope everyone else is doing well, also.

We are getting really busy at work now. I guess that the 'season' is starting now. It feels good to actually be bringing home some money.

Karen glad things are picking up for you , I understand how good it feels to contribute financially to your family...

I did my 200 crunches yesterday and haven't as of yet today and not sure I will. I seem to be letting stresses bare me down again - another personality flaw....

I have noticed a pattern though - I tend to get my crunches in more easily on days my daughter has school (she only goes 3x a week). As odd as it sounds when I have a time crunch to get everything done I whip out my crunches in like 5 minutes while waiting for my daughter to get her shoes on. But on the days we don't have school I tend to lagg off so weird.... LOL

Where are we at ladies?

I did my 200 crunches Friday and today.... I'm like 6 weeks away from Dh's party. I'm getting nervous that no one will show or show but not in costume but I'm SOOOO excited at the same time! My to purchase list is finally starting to get smaller (for awhile it just kept growing)....

I hope that everyone is doing well and maintaining there goals! Good luck ladies

Good morning,

I'm still around but unable to post half the time. Soon we will be just getting the internet in the house. I am still trying to get some money saved up to just have some breathing room. We are also looking to purchase a car in the not too distant future.

Everything is going well. Wednesday was my birthday but I had to work. Was off yesterday and today. I went yesterday and bought some plants to start my garden. I have no ground and will have to do container gardening this year but everything should grow well.

Hope all is going well for everybody.

I'm not doing very well this week. We have had to sell our ute to pay bills and stress always makes me eat!

Today I had a wedding cake, a novelty cake, and 200 biscuits for the school fair. I've had so many hold-ups this week, that most of it has been left till the last minute. Last night I only had 2 hours' sleep and 3 hours the night before. And it's now 10pm and I have another cake still in the oven that has to be ready by 9am. More stress, more eating!! AAAHHHHH!!

Hi everyone. I have been doing really well. I work out according to my schedule skip very few days. I have been controlling my eating. I am now down 6.4 pounds. I know that is not a bunch, but it is on the downward trend and I am happy about that.

Wow, Michelle, you're doing great!!

I'm becoming more and more convinced that I'm intolerant to some type of food, and am thinking of signing up for an elimination diet on foodintol.com. Here is an interesting article from this site about weight loss. http://www.foodintol.com/topic.asp?id=67

I've been still doing my 200 crunches 3xa week which is ok. I wanted to add a workout 2x a week but stresses of life keep stopping that.... I'll just be satisfied that I am maintaining my crunches I suppose

I've been walking 4 times a week. Couldn't go today, because it's a public holiday and the kids were home, so we all went swimming. But being a public holiday, the pool was crowded, so I don't feel like I got much exercise after all!!

I signed up for the food intolerance diet. It says I'm most likely intolerant to yeast!!! I'm quite surprised, I was expecting it to be dairy. Today was my first day off yeast, and it's the first day I haven't felt like falling asleep half way through the day, so they may be right! Hopefully it might help me lose some weight too!

Where is everybody? Feeling lonely..........

Well, I'm on day 5 of my intolerance diet. My food is very bland, but I'm excited about the prospect of getting to the bottom of my "issues". After looking back through my intolerance journal last night, I realised I'm reacting whenever I eat wheat, so today I'm going wheat/gluten free as well as yeast. Hopefully I'll have some definite answers soon!
