Keepin' on clickin'!!
Trying to finish my wrapping. Still haven't put up the tree! Threw out my back on Thursday (luckily DH always makes Holiday dinners) so haven't gotten anything done! How're you doing with your holiday chores??

You "girls" are amazing to have so much done so early! Each year I do less and less decorating and shopping until I hardly can tell it is Christmas by looking around in my apartment.
I'm expecting a collective "awwww" when I tell you I have been sick all week, and not much better still, with an awful cough! Anyway, I've been clicking, and not much else, and then forgot to post this morning!

I am so sorry to hear you're under the weather, VJ! Coughs don't seem like much, but they wear you out! Drink lots of hot herbal tea with honey. (Love me a Hot Toddy when I have a cough!)
We are usually the first with house lights up, but I threw out my back last Thursday. (My DH makes all holiday dinners, TG!) No tree, no lights, no wreath. I can barely stand. I know we've gained weight cause we've eaten nothing but take-out since. Don't feel bad for me, I have lots of happy pills! 
Only a little bit of shopping left to do. Luckily, I do most shopping in August /September and the rest by catalog.

Awwww, Honeydukes, I know you said you'd thrown out your back, but didn't realize it was so bad. I sure hope you will get some relief soon. You are wise to have done so much ahead of time for the holidays, so now it isn't a panic situation. Wish I had a good suggestion to help, but know a back problem just takes a lot of time to heal, so take care of yourself.
My cough is some better today, I'm pleased to say!

Thanks for the good thoughts ladies. VJ, how are you doing? That cough any better? We did get the Christmas lights on the house. I stood at the base of the ladder. That's all my DH would let me do. He's such a good man. He knew how much it bothered me that they weren't up yet. But who knows when we'll get our tree up?

Still coughing, but maybe a little less often. Seems like I've been coughing forever! I'm sore all over from it and my hip hurts from sleeping upright in my recliner chair.
Okay, all together...Awwww. LOL
Something wild that happens with this cough...every time I cough, my cat, Pepper, takes off like she's been shot. After a little while she slowly comes back to me, very cautious, but as soon as she even thinks I'm going to cough, she is off again. She doesn't react well to any loud sharp noises though, so I shouldn't be surprised.
Glad you got your lights up, Honeydukes, that is a big job!
Take care of your back, don't push yourself too hard.
7th snow of the year? OM goodness! If we get snow this year, it might be 7 snows in ten or so years.

We usually don't get it so early but we always get alot of snow! Supposed to snow again on thurs and fri! I love the snow! The whole world changes when it snows! Especially out here in the country it is so beautiful wrapped over the pastures and covering the barn roofs!Playing in it with the kids is good for your soul!
VJ sorry you are sick-i was but only for a couple of days.My 13 yr old sang at the lighting of the tree so we stood outside for 2 hours in the 19 degree air! All of us were sick! I have 5 children from 3 to 20 in my home so they didn't allow me to feel bad for myself long! LOL
honeyd-i hope your back problem is nothing serious! I hurt mine at work in january! They thought it was just sprained but i have 2 herniated discs and a bulging disc. I have been out of work since march! Happy pills are a wonderful thing aren't they? They are the only reason i can get out of bed in the mornings!

I guess being hurt gives me time to just enjoy my family and be thankful for what i have instead of tired from working 80 hrs a week! Family and friends are the most precious things you can have in this world!

Yes, Pepper is my avatar, she was trying to distract me from CC on the computer, and succeeding! She is a treasure to me, and it is both funny and upsetting that my coughing bothers he so much. I am wondering if it sounds like my DB's german shepard dog to her, she lived with them until she was 9 months old. My cough does sound like barking!
I got some of that Mucinex stuff they are advertising on TV, and so far it has helped me a whole lot! I even got to sleep in my own bed last night!
Talking with you all about the holidays has lifted my spirits, so much, it really helps to hear about your activities and your families.
I agree, hope everybody can stay well and get all your shopping/decorating/planning done for your families and have a wonderful holiday.

I need to finish my wrapping. Stuff is spread out all over the living room floor. I buy early and on sale, so I have to get everything out to know what I have. (There's got to be a better way!) We have lots of kids with winter birthdays, so all those gifts are out, too. I will admit one of my favorite Christmas smells is... Scotch brand tape!! Is it just me?
