Probably. I was thinking about hiding out myself, especially after you asked what everybody had for breakfast!

I tried to get rid of the leftover cake from DD's party but I couldn't do it this time. That's ok because I don't like cake all that much anyway. I didn't even have any yesterday. Most of it will probably go to waste.

I'm hear - I'm hear. Merissa the tough cheerleader came and rounded me up. I was doing so good living in size 8 world (I lost 12lbs in three weeks) icon_cool.gif But then real life got crazy. We're dealing with my mom's health issues and now her financial problems (which are a nightmare due to her illnesses). Then DH had to go out of town this week and my kids are making me NUTS! Needless to say all that positive talk and reinforement was a little hard to keep up and I've been living in the size 18's again (gained back 6lbs) icon_cry.gif

My attitude has been circling the drain and I thought I'd spare all of you. So that's enough self pity. The ten pound club sounds awesome. I'm starting at 224(again!) and My birthday is Aug 15th so that seems occasion enough. party.gif Come hell or high water DH is coming home to an emmaculate house and a size 8 wife. I can't keep using life as an excuse!
Now back to cleaning. Please pray I find some patience with the kids or I may package them up and ship them to one of you icon_evil.gif

I'm here, I'm here! I've done pretty well today except for lunch, which was a Sam's Club soft pretzel. Breakfast was 2 granola bars (2=one serving) & a diet pepsi. I went to lift weights & had a bottle of water after that, then the Sam's Club lunch icon_redface.gif . For dinner we're just having leftovers so I'll have a salad & a bit of chicken and another bottle of water.

No sugar day tomorrow, eh? I can do that! I need to be good this week because on Friday we're making Harry Potter cookies (just got my cookie cutters today!) & getting pizza.

Tuesday, you must share your margarita cake recipe!! I bet it's going to be delicious. (not that we would actually eat any since we're being so good...)

I really want one of those Cupcakes n More stands, but don't know what the heck I'd do with it. I do have a 50% off AC Moore coupon for tomorrow, and I'm always tempted when I have one of them. Last time I bought the oval pan set and am still wondering what to do with oval pans!

Oh Amber, I feel your pain! When my DH was out of town for a week last month I was so ready for the asylum by the time he got back. Thankfully we were able to go to the pool everyday so that gave everyone something to look forward to & broke up the day a bit.

I hope everything with your mom works out, but I know how frustrating those issues can be. A dear friend of mine who passed away 2 years ago was disabled for the last 15 or so years of her life, and at the end she needed constant care in a nursing home. Because she had not been able to work for maybe 2 years prior to her stroke (which necessitated the nursing home), her daughter had to struggle to find her affordable, competent care (which is practically an oxymoron). I don't know what your mom's issues are, but good luck.

Don't send me any kids, I'm just getting rid of mine tomorrow! My sister and borther-in-law are trying to give me one of theirs.

Sorry to her about your mother's health, Amber. Hoping for the best for her. Hubby's mother is in a nursing home. I don't think she will ever get out again. We finally got rid of the mobile home she was living in before after she went in and if she gets back out the plan is for her to move in with my BIL and SIL.

Don't forget, life happens and nothing will stand still waiting for it.

I had a Dannon Light n' Fit smoothie for breakfast and cottage cheese with cucumbers for lunch. I fell off the wagon with dinner, had hot dogs, but then we went swimming, so hopefully I worked some of it off.
I AM going to get up early tomorrow to get my workout in, and I'm totally on board with the sugar free day!

You guys are probably tired of hearing from me today but I wanted to let you know that my starting weight for the lose 10 pounds is 159.6 That means that by Augst 22 I will weigh 149.6 OR LESS. I will drink my water and stabilize my sugar!

By the way everybody said the cake turned out nice. I didn't think enough about the control tower so it was just a square of cake placed on top.

At 3:30 after being unable to find a box big enough for both kids to fit in (cheaper shipping if they go together) I took a break from cleaning and read the above. SO with half the house neat and tidy and the other half looking like something Katrina hit we lubed up with sunscreen and headed to the gym to swim. An hour splashing and playing followed by a 15 minute soak in the hot tubs and I no longer have to look up the shipping rates. Thanks for the idea, I sometimes forget the reason they are misbehaving is because they need some attention. I'll be up late trying to put the rest of the house in order but at least it'll be quiet.

Thank you all for your support I thought I had done alot of growing up once my kids came along, apparently I'm going to have to do more of it raising my parents. I'm calling Santa and telling him I want to be 20 again. Back before shopping in the plus section, no stretch marks, I slept in on the weekends and the world revolved around me and hubby (who was just a bf back then). Wait I take that back, money was super tight, I had to work split shifts taking care of 56 kids that belonged to other people, and despite there terrible days I'd miss my munchkins.

Okay enough babbling, off to work.

Well I am glad that I didnt scare everyone off yesterday LOL! I am thinking of all of you during these tough family times. Let's not give into the stress and eat. That is what I am notorious for!

Are we all geared up for our sugar free day? I still need to lose my 2 pounds this week to be on track for the 10 club, so I really need to do this for the next two days...at least! Please try and drink all of your water and limit the sugar and starchy carbs and eat well! I know when i have done this before I have had more energy at night. The sugar really makes me tired in the afternoon.

okay surprise inspection: Who ate something naughty yesterday? what was it and how did you feel when you were done eating it?

icon_redface.gif okay I had a little slip up yesterday. I did really well until last night when suddenly I had this desire to eat some cake in the freezer and some SMBC that I made for hte wedding cake this weekend. I had to defrost the cake and everything! Anyway my two older children were at Vacation Bible School and my DH took my youngest outside to mow the lawn. So I am scooping out my treat, feeling very guilty I might add. Then I hear the lawn mower pulling up into the garage. For some reason I didnt want my DH to know I was eating it! So first I thought about hiding the bowl in the fridge, but instead I scarfed it down quickly. The fact that I feel I need to sneak the food speaks for itself. My DH doesnt care if I eat cake!! I feel guilty about it. I shouldnt have eaten it. icon_redface.gif

I will complete the sugar free days with sucess!

I just got the oval pan set. I taught a couple of wilton classes (I already quit! LOL. That is another story) and they give you a $50 gift certificate and 40% off when you teach your first class. so I got the oval set. I wanted the hexagon set but they were out. I have made an oval cake that turned out nice.

Okay suprise inspection huh?! Last night after getting off the phone with my sister, venting about my mother, I had cheesecake. At the grocery store last night after swimming I was starving and tired and bought a little two slice package of cheesecake. After dinner I was feeling better so I hid it in the fridge. Halfway thru the conversation with my sis and I was digging it out again. Not one guilty moment until I thru away the packaging this morning. (BTW I ate BOTH slices) icon_redface.gif

But it's a new day and it's grocery shopping day. I have a technicality question...Does sweet and low in my tea count as sugar? My niece and nephew are spending the night tonight but I think I can avoid the need for treats. My niece is 16 and my nephew is 10 so I've got one to entertain my boys and one to keep me company. thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

I do this sometimes. It's an odd thing to think your dh is judging you when he is absolutely NOT. I also sneak from the kids, because I wouldn't let them eat it before dinner or because they've had a treat already. I'm going to be more motherly to myself. If the kids shouldn't have it then I probably shouldn't either.

I had a boo boo yesterday and today...yesterday I got the kids Frostys after the pool, and I got one, too. It was good, but totally not worth it. After I finished it, I thought to myself, why did I do that? Today I had a Little Debbie at lunch, but that's a more minor slip up. All in all, I feel like I'm doing better.
And I finally weighed in. sigh. I'm up to 217. So my goal is 207 by August 10.

Well, I never actually made it to AC Moore today to use my 50% off coupon icon_sad.gif Not that I need anything, but a coupon is a coupon! One of these days I'll get that cupcake stand & stick it in the basement with all of the other things I needed but haven't used icon_redface.gif DH did zing me today when he was buying a new video game - it's the Guitar Whatever game where you play air guitar along with the game...or something. Anyway, it's like $75 & I said to DD "let's go to Michaels & buy $75 worth of cake stuff." DH said "uhhh, you've got $200 worth of cake stuff hanging on the basement wall." (where my character pans are). Nooooo, only like $100 worth. Maybe. icon_rolleyes.gif

I think I did pretty well yesterday & didn't have any sugar today....mostly. We made crab cakes for dinner tonight & fried those babies in good ol' fattening vegetable oil. I did only have one of those, but ate waay too many rolls with it. (can't resist freshly baked rolls/bread of any kind) The rolls had a little sugar in them so I'm counting that as my sugar for the day. Other than dinner, I did good icon_lol.gif I'm really liking the apple cinnamon mini rice cakes for dessert. They're sweet & only 60 calories per serving.

Well, on Monday I had the Coke I told you about and I did have a Heath bar at luinchtime.

Yesterday I was very good and had no sugar, even when Hubby and DD took me into the Italian bakery for dessert I didn't get anything. Hubby said he was proud of me since he knew about the sugar free day. This morning I had a hard time figuring out what to eat. I didn't go down and put my boiled egg on early enough so that was out. I finally in desperation just picked up a few of the cherry tomatoes I picked out of the garden. The rest are for a snack later this morning. I did have the urge yesterday evening to have something sweet but I resisted it.

Well, tomorrow morning is weigh in. We'll see if the no sugar will help anything. BTW, DD had my water bottle in her room. She "didn't know" I was looking for it. I used it every day up until it diappeared! So now I have my 64 ounces of water sitting on my desk waiting.

DD left last night to stay on the Air Force Base and this morning they are doing a final physical before she leaves for basic training in Chicago. Maybe now my stuff (clothes, purses, sweaters, water bottles, weights, hair dryer, etc.) will stop disappearing.

Keep up the good work, everybody, and be good to yourselves.

We are thinking of you during this time, karen. You and your daughter should feel very proud!

I am glad sugar free day went well for otter. I too did very well! I avoided sugar (but I did have a teeny tiny lick of buttercream as I was making it...just checking) and starchy carbs (i had a little fruit and lots of veggies-no bread), drank all of my water, and I was armed with a positive attitude. I weighed my self yesterday and today and I lost 2 pounds. I don't know what has the most to do with it, but I like it! I hope I can lose a little more by tomorrow so I can be on track to lose my 10 pounds I said I would. I am sticking with sugar free day another day. This will be tough since I am carving a cake today...scraps tapedshut.gif

How did everyone else do?

So I went and added things up this morning, and I do not even have $100 worth pf pans hanging on the basement wall. Some of them are muffin/cupcake pans that I use often & some are discontinued character pans that I got for $5 each. So there DH icon_razz.gif

ANYWAY...I'm ready for no-cheat no-sugar day!! I need to do well now not only because of cookie making day coming up on Friday, but DD is almost ready to make her "Course 2" cake. She took Course 1 at Michaels but couldn't take Course 2 this month because we had some other things going on. So I did my best to show her the things from my course booklet. She chose a final cake to do & has been making RI flowers and those stupid birds this week. I need to show her one more flower so she can make them today, and when they're dry we'll bake a cake for her to put it all together on. Mmmmmm...cake......

Now to kick the kids out of the basement & get on the treadmill!!

Today's challenge:

I am often not on top of things and I do not plan out what I am going to eat until the last minute. Maybe it would help to come up with a meal plan for today. this will be much like writing down everythng you eat in a journal, except doing it in advance. What will your menu be today, be as detailed as possible, include snacks etc. ?

Breakfast: cottage cheese and some turkey bacon, tea

Snack: mozzeralla cheese stick, water

Lunch: grilled chicken salad with leftover chicken last night. Couple of pinapple chunks, WATER!, sugar free jello

Snack: carrot sticks with laughing cow cheese, more water!

Dinner: Turkey burger without the bun, zuchinni, side salad finish the water!

Snack if needed: micro light popcorn (mini bag)
Treat if I do well on my water: coke zero

For breakfast I had 2 granola bars & a diet pepsi.

Treadmilled & drank some water.

For snack I'm eating an apple & finished a 32 oz bottle of water.

Lunch will be a salad & probably some crackers because I always want something salty when the kids have chips with their lunch.

Snack - mini rice cakes (ranch flavor) & diet pepsi. Carrots if I'm still hungry.

Dinner - DD wants spaghetti tonight so I think that's what we'll do, but I'm not making any bread to go with it. Salad.

Snack - mini rice cakes (apple cinnamon) & another 32 oz. bottle of water

DIE FAT CELLS, DIE!!!!

Breakfast--Handful of tomatoes and run out the door for work--Bottle of milk when I got to work

Snack--Rest of the cherry tomatoes that I picked yesterday

Lunch--The rest of the lasagna I didn't finish for my lunch yesterday at the restaurant (probably about a third, I also shared with Stacy)

Dinner--No idea, probably Greek salad

To drink--I am going to be drinking my 64 oz bottle of water today and will have nothing else to drink. NO COKE, NO COKE, NO COKE!

The biggest thing is that I am eating now. I am a bit hungry now, though, but I will resist the urge to go up to get into Mary Lee's candy bowl. Lunch will be in a while and I will pour some more water. I froze the bottle yesterday and it is taking its time unfreezing. Usually half the bottle will be gone by now.

YOu can do it!

I have kept to my menu, except that I didnt eat the pineapple and I did eat a chicken nugget...opps, ah one isnt too bad. the old me would have eaten a few more LOL! Just finished up my snack of carrots and laughing cow cheese. I think I might have my treat now, a diet pop, since I am almost done drinking my water for the day.

Lisa, be strong. You don't need those pretzels, your mind is just playing ticks on you.

I'm still working on my water. A large chunk of it is still frozen but I did buy an extra water and put it in the bottle to help unfreeze some of it. I should have all of it down by the end of the day.

I'm getting hungry, too, Can't wait to get home for my salad for dinner. So far I'm doing good. The day is just about over and I will be able to go home.
