Do most of you use the Kitchen Aid Pasta attachment to work with your fondant, or do you have a manual pasta tool? Need one- don't know which to get. TIA icon_smile.gif

motorized is best. If you can afford the KA, that is the one to get.

However, sometimes you can find the manual rollers, with an optional motor for the rollers. That is a good choice.

the all manual rollers work, and they are much cheaper (Michael had one under $30) but they are a bit more work.

I just bought a manual one for making bows, small sheets etc. I make lots of gumpaste and thought it might work for that as well.

I have the KA mixer but haven't got the pasta attachment. Might have to rethink selling my mixer since I got my new Cuisinart one. My KA has an ice cream maker and I use that fairly often.

Do you know someone that has one you could try? Either kind?

Kohls has one on sale now with just 99 cents shipping!

It's less money than the Kitchen Aid store (but they have more choices of types of pasta rollers):

I am in the market for one to and I just went to Linens and Things and they have the KA pasta roller with three different attachments and it is only 99.99. The paper in my area of Ohio always has atleast a 20% off coupon. Hope that helps.

not for covering the cake - used for ensuring consistant thickness on accent pieces.

I mainly used mine as jmt1714 said. It also will cut strips for making bows.
The 'flat one' is only about 4"-5" wide and you can make a piece as long as you want.
